Dude you are awesome! I just got Far Cry 3 for $12.50! Thank you soooo much!!!
:o You lucky duck.Seriously, get the Desert to Sea Bundle. Spec Ops: The Line is probably the best single-player shooter I've played this year. The story is nearly Bioshock worthy, with a Dead Space style twist to it. I finally finished it tonight. I promise you a wonderful experience. It's not just a shooter.
Edit: Just looked up Spec Ops The Line score on gamespot. 6.5/10?! Not that I truly care for critic scores, I care more about user reviews and my own experience with a game.. but what the hell? Spec Ops The Line is f'kn fantastic. It's better than Uncharted 3 and all those other third-person shooters that came out in recent years. Oh well.. I guess. :/
Also, I highly recommend playing it on "Suicide Mission" difficulty, which is the hardest diff. Provides a good challenge but it isn't overly difficult to the point where you might smash your keyboard. I died quite a bit, but that's because I didn't flank properly, or use the appropriate weapon for a certain encounter. Normally, in a game like Uncharted or Gears of War series video game, I didn't really care which weapon I used as long as the enemy dropped dead.
On Suicide Mission mode, ammo is more scarce, and sometimes I found myself running through the crossfire to pick up a gun off an enemy dead soldier to replenish ammo or grab a new gun entirely. I normally do not do that in any shooters because they're so mindless, sorta speak.

:o You lucky duck.I'm kicking myself because I got so excited when I saw it was $12.50 that I immediately bought it. I could have added in AC3 and gotten that for $12.50 as well :P

Yeah I got those both for 25 dollars its a great deal! Can someone explain this whole UPlay discount thing going on? Are people with UPlay accounts getting discount codes because I havent gotten one and Ive had one for quite some time, ever since I bought Assassins Creed 2. Own all of them up until Revelations too. (Which was great btw)GamesterpheonixIt's randomly generated.

I want to get ARMA CO for DayZ but don't know if I should wait for the standalone or not, especially since it keeps getting pushed back. can anyone tell me if it's worth it to buy CO now?
More great buys! Picked up Dead Rising 2 Complete Pack and Spec Ops: The Line off Steam.
I've been hearing great things about Spec Ops, and after watching some gameplay i'm glad i picked it up (Installing it right now).
Loving this Steam sale so far and i'm going to be very busy with the games i already bought mwahah.

You don't play Spec ops for the gameplay, it's kind of generic. You play it for its amazing story telling
Just got Orcs must die 2... I loved the demo and for £2 I cant lose :P. Also I am very tempted to get ARMA II CO from GGM for £10.50 once I use the discount.
EDIT: I just purchased Natural Selection 2 :D.
Picked up just three so far:
Skyrim: Dawnguard
Skyrim: Hearthfire
FTL: Faster Than Light
Trying not to buy too much this year - I have too many games from previous sales I haven't even played yet.
Damnit, XCom is only 33% off...it was 50% during the autumn sale! Should have picked it up from another website while it was half off but I thought I would get it for the holidays, which didn't happen (though I did get money, soo yeah). Anyone know if there's a better deal somewhere else?
This is by far the worst holiday sale yet for Steam. From what I remember last year wasn't too great either. Hope it's not a downward trend for future sales.
Spec Ops: The Line is fantastic. Awww.. I wish you picked up the desert to sea bundle on amazon.com instead. You get Bioshock 1+2+ Spec Ops for only $10. All steam keys. Enjoy it. It's one of the best third-person shooters I've ever played. Amazing story.More great buys! Picked up Dead Rising 2 Complete Pack and Spec Ops: The Line off Steam.

I know Farcry 3 is really new, but not much newer than Hitman and I got Hitman for $20. Now I am trying to decide between getting Sleeping Dogs for $17 which is the best I've seen so far which only has around 7 hours left. Or wait till the end of the sale and see if I can get The Secret World for less than $20. I don't know how much fun I will have with either, it is a tough choice. Maybe even see if Assassins Creed 3 goes low like Hitman.
Is L.A. Noire worth the five bucks to you guys? UCF_KnightI think so. Its like a modern day point and click adventure in some respects. I can pretty much say theres no game like it out currently.
Sleeping Dogs has been as low as $11-12 on Gamefly.com. Gamefly pretty much bowed out of the winter sale but they were awesome when they had it going.I know Farcry 3 is really new, but not much newer than Hitman and I got Hitman for $20. I wish you didn't tell me that haha I feel like I might just wait to see another deal on The Secret World or Farcry 3 and get Sleeping Dogs when I have more money. It is single player after all, I can play years from now and it will still be the same game.
GMG will put XCOM on sale tomorrow. If it's anything like today's Borderlands 2 sale, you can apply a 30% off code on top of it. The code is GMG30-DPLIM-DN831.
Baranga
Thanks for the heads up, i'll be sure to check it out tomorrow. Borderlands 2 is also really tempting with the coupon. Alas I must resist, as my wallet weeps.

Sorry. :( Sorry. What I meant to say was, you should get it at $17. I don't think it will get any cheaper than that with Gamefly.com out of the way. It's all good. I'm just thinking "crap why didn't I check that I could have saved even more" haha But now I will know for next time :)
Dang, I totally thought that voucher had unlimited uses on GMG. Was hoping to pick up BL2 and all the DLC for $35 bucks.... I may still pick it up for $40.... IDK....
Worst sale ever.

Yeah, it's fun for a couple of hours.
For me it was about 30 mins before I got bored to tears :(.Dang, I totally thought that voucher had unlimited uses on GMG. Was hoping to pick up BL2 and all the DLC for $35 bucks.... I may still pick it up for $40.... IDK....

You can only use it on one item at a time. Buy BL2 first, then go back and get the DLC. Seperate purchases should allow it.

Bleh, I forgot that GMG doesn't work for me. Always gives me a crappy not verified by the bank thing. Googled it and tons of people are having the same issue. By the time I resolve it, the sale will be over. Oh well.I did it. Played the Sleeping Dogs demo again and ended up buying it and the Zodiac Tournament dlc haha I really like the fighting combat because it is like Batman.
What are some opinions on The Sims 3 and L.A Noire? Or should I save my money? I'm leaning towards The Sims 3 because the graphics seem like they would be more diverse and better. I guess I can accept a $10 loss.

I enjoyed L.A. Noire for the 360. Some people didn't like it becauase they felt it was more like an interactive movie. While the system wasn't perfect, I enjoyed solving the crimes. However, if you're looking for something completely action-packed, you should look elsewhere.
