How is Arcania Gothic 4? It's only $5 on Gamersgate.Elann2008

One of the worst rpgs ive played of the last 10 years bud, HORRIBLE.

Controls are the only thing that was well done, everything else was horrible.

Could not pay me $5 to play that game again I tell ya!

Play Gothic2, Gothic3 or Risen1/2 again instead, trust me, it will save you a headache :P
It's not only horrible as a gothic game but its horrible on its own also.

I think you're right lol. I youtube'd several gameplay videos and the combat looks horrible. Tap attack "win button." I'm not one of those gamers that can sit through repetitive, boring combat unless you rock the house in every other department like atmosphere, setting, story, etc.

I don't understand how expansions work on Steam. I bought Civ 5 and Gods and Kings for 15 bucks total. Steam downloaded Civ 5 and that's it. Is Gods and Kings already installed with it? Is it suppose to be separate? I have no idea.

Expansions are separate. Just like Company of Heroes, Dawn of War II, or Neverwinter Nights 2, expansions are like their own game in your steam library. Start download.

But Gods and Kings has no separate entry:P It's included in the Civ 5 download.

I think most recent expansions are treated as DLC and automagically installed.

It never installed it? It just installed Civ 5. Which was like 5 gigs...and then did not do anything for Gods and Kings...I paid for both. So, I'm confused.

Have you started the game? The splash screen and main menu tell you if Gods and Kings is installed.

Every DLC is downloaded at the same time.

Ah hah.. That's new to me. Good to know though. :D I actually prefer it the way Civ 5 handles it instead of listing all expansions and DLC like their own game. It makes my steam library look bigger than it really is. xD

Dawn of Fantasy is free at Desura for a limited time! It's not on Steam yet, but it was Greenlit and will be on there soon. They also what I believe is a Steam key, so I'm keeping that on file just in case. :P

Gods and Kings shows up as DLC. Right Click Civ V and navigate to View Downloadable Content. It will show you everything you own. Gods and Kings should be there.

OMG I knew Assassins Creed 3 would be on sale from steam lol. I bought it on Uplay when it was on sale in the event steam didn't have it on sale but it looks like this might be Ubisoft's strategy. Put the game on sale on Uplay first then after that sale ends let the steam version go on sale.

Elann2008

Yup. To add, the game just came out too. But you can't blame Ubisoft if they want 100% profit by putting it on Uplay. On the other hand, games tend to sell very well when it becomes a Steam-key. Gamers want to add it to their steam library.

Your right but at least on the bright side Obisoft still puts their games on steam unlike EA so I really shouldn't complain.

Absolutely. EA wouldn't even put Dead Space 1 on sale. xD My friends are lining up to play it, so I just told them buy it at $10 and higher. It's worth it. I guess I shouldn't complain either. hehe

If anyone is interested in LA Noire, there's a LA Noire 60fps unlocker. The only downside to this, it makes vehicles brake slower (which can come off as realistic to some people). I'm guessing the coding for driving mechanics is based on how it updates every frame. So, let's say it was designed with 30fps, then it will update according to that. Bypass it with the 60fps unlocker and then you get something totally different. It isn't game-breaking though and driving is about the only downside to it. Still playable.

Edit: After more driving missions, pressing the brakes isn't bad at all. It actually does feel realistic. The turning is much better because of it!

Nvidia users: Download Nvidia Inspector if you do not have it already. Go to LA Noire profile, and change the vsync to "FORCE ON." I was getting some nasty screen-tearing using the LA Noire 60fps unlocker trainer, but changing it via Nvidia Inspector fixed it completely. Apparently, forcing it through the Nvidia Panel did not work and only caused a big mess. Forcing it in Nvidia Panel changed the values for the 60fps Unlocker trainer.

Cheers!

You can always find people to play with but for single player in my opinion is not worth plaything alone.

A lot of people still play online 4-player co-op for campaign mode. Versus modes are pretty good too.

I'll probably pass on L4D then, I have too many other online games. Plus it gets a hefty discount every STEAM sale. I wish they didn't keep repeating the daily deals though. I make sure to check in when the deals supposedly change, and half the time they're still the same games.

Are you looking to buy the franchise pack for $7.49? Don't. Just buy Left 4 Dead 2 for $5 and it has the maps from L4D1. No one plays L4D1 any more. Just get it. It's a fun online zombie shooter. You won't regret it.

Not a bad price if you want a decent to good online racing game. There's a single-player mode too but online versus is where its at imho. I played it on the PS3 at my friend's house and I had fun. I am not sure how big the PC community for NFS: The Run. I thought the SP was fun too.

Need for Speed: The Run $5

I'm sure some of you guys already have Metro 2033, but I'm sure many of you missed the Facebook thing, and the awesome THQ bundles that have been on sale.

It doesn't mean you should miss out on a great game - Metro 2033 for $5. It's steamworks.

I will never understand why Spec Ops: The Line is such an underrated game. Just finished it today and woah that ending is indeed mind blowing (there's also 4 different endings you can unlock depending on how you play the game).

Thanks to Elann and everyone else on here who mentioned the game or i would of missed out on this amazing experience and story. Shame gamespot didn't give it a great score and the credit it deserved.

You're welcome! Tanerb gave me that heads up that it was on sale. We were like the only two that wanted that game haha. I almost missed it while playing other games. xD Cheers mate.

I'm glad you liked it! :D And thank you again for convincing me to pick up LA Noire. It is friggin awesome, especially with the 60fps unlocker. Probably the best $5 purchase this year, and it's definitely worth a lot more.

Yager Development (developer) deserves an encore for making Spec Ops: The Line. So buy the Desert to Sea Bundle! *Click link*

Fyi: Multiplayer was tacked on by publisher, and developed by another developer Darkside Game Studios. Buy it for the single-player. It's awesome.

You're very welcome Elann, and i'm glad you're enjoying the game i know i sure as hell did haha. It's an amazing experience that LA Noire with a fantastic and thrilling story as you solve every case and put together the pieces to the puzzle.

I never knew about that 60fps unlocker i'm sure it helps out the game a lot more then when it was only locked to 30fps.

Well nice talking again, but Saints Row: The Third is waiting for me :D

Edit: I only just finished Spec Ops and haven't tried out the multiplayer yet, and judging by peoples reactions i dont think i want to lol. The single player was amazing and i wouldn't want to ruin the effect the game has left on me by playing a broken multiplayer mode. Thanks again and yeah that bundle would make a nice gift to someone.

Like others said only get Left 4 Dead 2 as all the maps have been added to Left 4 Dead 2. Also I enjoyed playing Left 3 Dead on single player. Online has a very elitist community. It is mostly on vs mode but no matter what mode you play online there is a very high chance of getting kicked and called every terrible name for doing the simplest thing wrong.

Would $8.5 be worth it for Mass Effect 3? I'm considering picking it up but I thought the second game was awful so I doubt I'd like it. :P

ahh hah. Nice find. :D

Edit: Must not be for North America. Even with the 30% coupon code, it only goes down to $21, which isn't bad but Gamestop.com has it for $15. Where are you from?

Maybe the european store have some different prices. It's £5.2 here with the 30% off code which is about $8.5.

BattleSpectre

i think they did give it a fair shake. The story is intriguing but as a game its average at best. The actual gamplay is pretty generic and bland and of course theres the tacked on MP that even the devs despise. I mean story is only one pillar of a game and spec ops is lacking major in the other areas.

Picked Deus Ex collection from Gamersgate for 15 bucks, better than that $26.99 Steam is charging.
