Company of Heroes, easily. WiC had some unique multiplayer too, if ur into that.

I agree, Company of Heroes was an excellent game.

Company of Heroes is the best I have played to date.

My favorites:

Sins of a Solar Empire

Starcraft 2

Love the AOE and C&C series. Also I've played a few random ones like Caesar 3 which I thought were really good

Personally I'd say your best off starting at the beginning with old school classics like Red Alert 2 and work your way up from there.

Don't think I saw anyone mention Black&White here although thats kind of a mixed gen game, also its crap....

I love C&C: Red Alert 2 and it's expansion; Yuri's Revenge. Great over-the-top story revolving around the U.S. and the Soviets. The soundtrack is sick, and the game itself is just very action packed overall.

Land: Company of Hero's

Sea: Silent Hunter II, III and IV (Don't bother with V)

Space: Homeworld2

just got age of empires 3, very very good, have way between a huge strategic RTS and a small tactical one.

If you want to play the best RTS game you will have to invest your time to get good at Supcom FA. If you want an easier game and are good at clicking the mouse play starcraft.

Starcraft II (if you don't mind getting raped regularily online)

Dear god, I didn't think anyone else played that game! Best to avoid it as it's mediocre to begin with and SOASE easily covers that same category.

Best RTS ever is Warcraft 3.

Also amazing games are:

Age of mythology

Age of empires 2

Red alert 2

Starcraft 2

Spellforce 2

p.s. i hated Company of heroes.
