You make them! We installed counter strike in a uni lab and we made girls play with us LAN party.

You're better off looking for nerdy chicks. Some of the so called hot chicks(not all) turn out to be jerks. Eye candy can be a real bummer sometimes
I don't know a single solitary woman that plays video games. I work in technology as well, which I've worked with many great female programmers...none of them gamed, though. I would have thought considering they were in technology, at least some of them played video games. On the other hand, almost every male developer I've worked with played games.
Not saying female gamers don't exist, but other than playing on their phone/facebook games I think the amount of female gamers is grossly over stated. The advice given in this thread is pretty solid though, I think your best bet is either at a gaming convention or perhaps at video games stores/etc.
Try gaming tournaments, the ones where you have to go there in person, not online. That's where I usually see some (usually they are already taken though. Or lesbians)...
...Or simply start talking to a few on the streets. Usually those with glasses and/or have this geeky aura about them. Those are your best bets...
Im a girl gamer who also works in the IT industry as an IT specialist. I own my own PC repair business and also worked as a QA tester for sony, blizzard and s2 games. I collect video game consoles and have everything down to atari. I'm always looking for more people to play Dota or Hon with so, if any of you like MOBAS come check my stream out and maybe we can play together:

Ive only been with a couple of girls who actually liked hardcore games, no angry birds doesn't count. It was something special, and I met them in school by chance but I am no longer in school. Do gamer girls have a hangout spot? Or do I have to stalk a video game store and hope a hot chick walks in looking for Fallout 3 GOTY edition.
girls don't play on playstation, too many angry nerds on there.
You're right, I'm more of a Nintendo person.
