What was/were your favorite childhood anime?

I have a strong belief that we all watched a bunch of anime,yet some of them were those that made a worthy childhood memory.

I loved Starzinger as a kid. Other than that, Sailor Moon, since that was the only anime that was on TV.

But I wasn't into all that much anime, so i'll say batman: the animated series or x-men for a time. Oh and G.I. Joe and Transformers. Come to think of it, there really wasn't much "anime" on T.V. at all when I was young.

I liked DBZ but I was like 16 or 17 when it was really popular.. As a young kid I loved Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind VHS tape from the video store before I ever knew what Anime was.

Pokemon and Digemon as a child. Gundam Seed and Full Metal Alchemist as a young teen.

Pretty much everything that was on Cartoon network / Toonami / Adult Swim and other channels that don't ring a bell at the moment. So off the top of my head, stuff like Dragonball / DBZ, Pokemon, YuGiOh!, Digimon, Sailor Moon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Beebop, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha, Ghost In The Shell, Gundam Wing, Zoids, Rurouni Kenshin etc. (can't think of others).

Prolly Voltron, though I really don't remember anything from it now haha!!

I wasn't allowed to watch anime as a kid (ages4-8 maybe), conservative parents.

But I did liked watching DBZ, I loved it during my childhood (not so much now).

And I was in third grade when FMA came out, and I loved it, it became my favorite anime. But I just finished watching brotherhood like 2 weeks ago and I suddenly realized how shitty the first FMA anime was after it deviated from the manga...the plot just got ridiculous and completely lame.

There was only anime made specifically for the western market when I was a child.
So probably: The Wizard of Oz, Candy Candy, Alfred J. Kwak

It'd probably have to be Pokemon. Unless you count Avatar: The Last Air Bender. If so, that would be my favorite. I still watch it every now and then.

used to watch DBZ. watched EVERY SINGLE episode when it first came out. also liked samurai 7. other than those 2, I don't like anime.

Nothing, I suppose. I didn't really become aware of anime in general until I was around 15 or 16.

All I ever remember seeing as a kid was the odd episode of sailor moon. But I did also watch a couple of others during high school, such as DBZ, Zoids, and Digimon.

I think I watched zoids at one point. then I don't know what happened. lost track of it, ended, or didn't care for it anymore. don't really remember.

Dragonball

Besides Sailor moon all of the above.

1st: Zoids, that last battle between Liger Zero and Berzerk Fury will be burnt into my memory for eternity.

2nd: FLCL, I remember always staying up for hours in the night when Adult Swim would run a marathon.

3rd: Neon Genesis Evangelion, might be 2nd if I saw more than what was shown during Giant Robot Week on Toonami at the time.

Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball, and Yu Yu Hakusho were the big ones. I lost interest in Yu yu hakusho after they started that tournament thing. I didn't watch it every week so I had no idea what was going on because they threw in so many characters.

Its sad to see no one post Gundam on here. I stayed up against my parents will to watch the first episode of gundam wing on Toonami After that i watched a crap tone of 0079 0080 0083 8TH MS team and all the other meca stuff like evangelion.

OH and another no one listed. Tenchi Muyo that show was the shit.

I did watch all the other standard stuff to like DBZ/Sailor moon i hate the new stuff though narto is trash and so is bleach. Older 90s anime is so much better than the new crap they have come out with.
