You have to see it to believe it.

The guy wasn't happy enough to give her no cash whatsoever. In addition to writing a big zero for a tip, he wrote the following:

In case you can't make it out it said "You could stand to loose [sic] a few pounds."

And I thought leaving a penny as a tip for bad service was bad.

To be fair, we didn't hear the other guy's side of the story and for all we know the waitress could have been bad. But, we don't have any evidence of that but we got written evidence of her calling the waitress fat.

Must have been this guy.
#3 Posted by sherman-tank1 (8186 posts) -

**** him. He is one of the reasons many females starve themselves.

That's just really mean, even if she was a terrible waitress.

#7 Posted by ExoticAnimal (39796 posts) -
I would have done the same thing. Just kidding... that's just really messed up.
#9 Posted by BranKetra (49391 posts) -
I wonder how he is, physically. Some people are skinny-fat.

Errr, still though. It is a terrible thing for him to do.

#12 Posted by Pirate700 (46465 posts) -

That's either horrible or awesome depending on how horrible the service actually was.

I don't think so. I think not leaving a tip (if you live somewhere where people tip) is enough. Leaving a rude note at the end just seems unnecessarily mean.

I agree. It would have to be horrific and involving her going on the customer or saying something mean to him/her.

Pretty much. Businesses are at a big disadvantage when it comes to this stuff. Even though Steve Jobs responded, RIP.

I already knew she weighted a little more than your average woman but any man who values their frank and beans would avoid actually telling a woman to her face she's fat. Which is why I'm assuming he wrote it on the receipt she probably didn't read until he was already out the door.

Here's a picture of her in case you got an error like I did:

#26 Posted by Wanderer5 (25726 posts) -

Well it really depends if she was doing bad service or not, through either way it still pretty rude of writing that PS.

#27 Posted by StealthMonkey4 (7043 posts) -

Was a little rude, not a big deal though, the avalanche of publicity and hate he (and others with the same name) are getting is much worse than the actual tip....

The comment he left was uncalled for regardless of her services.

#29 Posted by XilePrincess (13130 posts) -
That's uncalled for. If the service was terrible, contact the manager. There is no reason to attack a person's appearance because you didn't like their service.
#30 Posted by CJL13 (19137 posts) -

There's a place where you are forced to pay the waiter a certain percentage, no matter how much they sucked. Not to mention the food was too costly by itself. :|

#32 Posted by mrmusicman247 (17577 posts) -
Why do people assume that if you're big, your automatically unhealthy? >.> It was uncalled for though. No tip and contacting the manager is about the most you should do.
#33 Posted by Frame_Dragger (9581 posts) -

I can beat that. I hate the most screwed up waiter at a Friendlies when I was a teen... I won't go into details, but one element involved a LIT cigarette in my then-boyfriend's shake. My tip? I took a nickel and dropped it the remainder of a glass of water. I put a plate on top, then turned it over, and lined the edge of the glass-plate seal with ketchup.

Beat that.

#34 Posted by Tykain (3887 posts) -
For all we know she might have been rude to him. You can't judge with only knowing one side of the story.
#35 Posted by sonicare (53570 posts) -

He may just have saved her life. Obesity is a killer.

#36 Posted by NuclearNerd (399 posts) -
If he did that to one of the servers at my place and he came back, I would pee in his soda.
#37 Posted by foxhound_fox (90316 posts) -

And how do we know she deserved a tip?

And get your restaurant shut down (or yourself fired). Great idea.

I find it weird that I have only seen that movie 1 time and yet I remember that starting scene so well. Every time tipping is brought up I think of that scene.
#39 Posted by soulless4now (41381 posts) -

That was rude of him, but after seeing her picture, I couldn't help but laugh.

#42 Posted by ChampionoChumps (2380 posts) -
How is this news? I'm 100% sure this crap happens every night.
#43 Posted by freek666 (22312 posts) -

I don't even tip /smugdog

#44 Posted by Johnny_Rock (40122 posts) -

I live in Philly. We are the highest tipping city in the nation. I would pound that loser into the ground for doing that.

Wow... that's... very very creepy both that you'd do it, and that you said, "pee". On the other hand, if you were caught by a customer, I can't imagine they'd just stop at killing you.

Exactly, I'd like to know the full story. :P
#48 Posted by MrGeezer (56884 posts) -
Am I the only one who suspects that her being fat is the only reason why he didn't tip her?
#49 Posted by Just-Breathe (3130 posts) -
Well, would "You could stand to lose a few pounds" really be considered an insult? I mean, I don't think the guy should have written it down on the bill but she really could lose the weight.
#50 Posted by sSubZerOo (43640 posts) -

That is extremely rude, this isn't a friend or a family member your being critical towards.. Its a stranger.. Everyone has something they should do to themselves to improve, that doesn't mean a stranger has any business of telling the person that.
