What do you guys think about long hair on boys? I have been growing my hair for the last 13 months, and it is easily over a foot long.  I keep it clean, but I don't style it or anything. I just comb/brush it when I get out of the shower and I am done with it. The only bad thing is that some people DO mistake you for a girl SOMETIMES, but not very often and usually it is just old people from behind. So now I am growing a moustache, which by the way, is easy thanks to my genetics. But I can't grow a full beard for some reason. Just the 'stache and some side burns.

I go between somewhat short and almost shoulder length long...I think I'm actually going to let it grow really long now though. I miss my long hair right now.

It usually doesn't bother me until they start to swoosh their head around to move their hair to the side since they can't see anything...

I don't let my hair grow very long because I don't really like the look on myself and I like it just shaggy. :)

I like to have long sideburns and usually a little scruffy look. I usally gel and style up my hair too, so I kind of have that bed head /metro look. I really like that look, but after I get my haircut I have to wait a while to let my hair grow longer and that pisses me off. If I could I would grow my hair long, but I just can't, my hair won't grow out.

Also, my hair is sort of parted 2/3 of the way towards my right ear because I have a sort of cowlick that just barely moves the hair enough to cause a gap, so the hair is parted to either side of my face. And no, does not look like a girls hair, and if it does, it is not my fault. When I said I let it grow for 13 months, I mean not even a trim. It doesn't look like a girl's hair, some people just link hair with girls.

Don't get me wrong...People can do whatever they want...It's their hair. Back when I was younger, like in my university days, I had hair almost down to the middle of my back.

I have my long, and put it back in a ponytail, get annoyinh having it hang into your face. Spartans said nothing makes a pretty man prettier and a scary man scarier than long hair.

It depends on how much of a babyface one has. If they have a nice smooth babyface, then long hair could easily mistake that person for a woman. I have a smooth face I guess, but when I go to college I am still growing a mullet hahahaha. Simply for when I come home the next summer and people gasp and shriek "what happened to you? oh my gosh!" hahahaha i'm excited

I really don't have a problem with long hair on guys, as long as it's not a mullet or emo, with the hair in front of their eyes. Seriously, how do people see that way?

My hair is about 4-5 inches long. Once it gets about another inch longer, it's too long for me. But I hate having it shorter than about 3-4 inches, also.

I think the difference speaks for itself. Other examples of long hair that looks good:







It is my impression (mistaken, perhaps) that you have to have either rugged or pretty boy looks to pull off long hair.

Personally I don't want to try it. Too much hassle, too much can go wrong and it can easily look ugly just as much as it can (potentially) look good.
It also depends on hair type, I think.

Yeah my hair is pretty long too. I mean its not under my shoulders or nothing but its pretty long for a guy. I wanna cut it but I have had my hair long for such a long time that I'm afraid to do it. Idk how it will look. I guess I just gotta take the plunge.

my hair is naturally kinda wavy, and I hate that. My mom's friend said that if I let it grow out, the wavyness (is that a word?) will even out. I really hate my hair :(

Then either cut it, get a new haircut, or get it straightened (or curled if that's your thing).. because I know what you mean by wavy hair and it's not pretty. I suggest you do something and not listen to your mother's friend's crappy advice.

~-~I've got long hair too, down to my shoulders. (and a little farther in back) It's all curly and puffy and stuff.:P If I have class or need to look nice I'll gel it though. But I've never been mistaken for a girl.:? I think the whole 6'5" thing helps.~-~
