In your opinion do you find that college is or was the best years of your life?

I personally went to college for 2 years and hated it. I do want to go back but I can definitely say personally that I did not enjoy college.

No. I like college, but the best years of my life were when I was in the military.

Nope. It was high school. College was somewhat bad because of all the money being siphoned to paying your tuition. Which was financially speaking a scam.

Well, it is the start of your "freedom". You can do almost anything your parents didn't want you to do. Now, if you went to community college, it would probably feel like High School v2 because most people just go to class and go home. (unless you find a community college with housing) To many people that might be the most exciting couple of years they have going for them. Because when you get a job it will decrease a bit (amount of free time).

First few years, yes. It's pretty good so far. It's even better when you are not worried financially.

I don't really remember college that well, so I'm guessing I had a pretty good time.

The only plus I had when I went is my tuition was paid for. I just had to pay for books and labs.

been "free" since 16 YAY me! when you get a job you should learn how to take pride in what you do and being the best at what you do, with that you get the reward of helping more people with your skill and trade in turn increasing your wealth and your societal worth.

but i am an evil capitalist that is only out to help as many people as i can.;)

The fact that you have to pay a lot of money for a regurgitation of highschool(at least for GE) just completely turned me off. I'm still pushing through it, but it's definitely not as fun as high school. The money aspect definitely plays into that.

It depends on what your major is. Going to school 6 days a week including Spring Break to work on senior project was NOT fun lol.

Depends on your personality type and how your parents treated you, college is supposed to be your first taste of total freedom, but if your parents were always lax or you don't tend to do anything extreme it really dosn't make much difference.

If high school really is the supposed "best years of your life", then I might as well just shoot myself now.

No, not really. For me it was kind of a mistake because I messed around and essentially just meandered in the beginning. If knew now what I knew then I could have saved myself time and money had I taken it more seriously.

Of course I'll be happy when I do graduate in a week, knowing I didn't quit when I came pretty close to doing so.

Parts of my college experience was really good, but I'd have to say grade 7- 8 was the best for me (so far anyway).

I'm not in college but I dont really see how childhood can be topped. Most kids don't have a care in the world and can have fun doing just about anything, the further you go in life the more issues you have to deal with.

No, the best years of your life are prolly when you're a child sometime, and you're just gaining sentience yet don't have a care in the world. Most of the people who think college is the best time of their life are the party animals who's lives revolve around sex.

It's definitely not the best time if you go to community college... I think it might be though if you're going to a party school and you're not worrying about classes at all. It's like childhood but even more freedom

In my humble opinion, if anyone, while looking back from an age of say, 50, looks back and considers college the best years of their life......... I'd feel very sorry for them.

College basically gives back whatever you put into it. If you are just there for the degree and don't do much else, then it'll just involve a lot of hard work and not a lot of fun. If you are just there to party, then you will have a good time but will suffer the consequences of not working. If you are there for a mix of the two, then you'll probably have a decent time and deal with some hard work. I'm not someone who buys into the whole "college experience" thing. I'm not out there looking for sex every night or drinking at big house parties. That's fun for some people, but it doesn't interest me. I chose not to live in the dorms and I'm mostly there for my degree(s). That doesn't mean that I don't have any fun in life, though, because I have a strong and tight social circle outside of college. I will say that you should try to enjoy college before you're out in the true 'real' world or before you're out having kids or whatever your goals are. College may be one of your last opportunities to screw around a lot. College can produce plenty of stress, but you still are a little more 'free' in your youth than you will be in the future (though I guess it does depend on your life goals).

I only went for four months, but no, it was definitely not the best time of my life. The only upside was that got to see a glimpse of how it'd feel to get high in my house (in this case, dorm) whenever I want.

Hell no, the best years of your life are when you actually have spending money to do things. Cramped dorms and ramen noodles for breakfast/lunch/dinner is no fun. Exceptions if you're a lucky bastard whose parents were rich.

Honestly, it's kind of hard to beat baby years. No responsibilities, constantly being fed and pooping when you want. I hope to live to be 100 and decrepit so I can live those moments again.

I've been enrolled for 2 years and I absolutely hate it. I was my hs valedictorian, but I'm tanking in college. I'm not partying or anything; I just find my classes are completely pointless and I'm wasting money...
