I only took it once cuz I knew I was going to a JC and just wanted to take it out of curiosity. I got a 2100 though so I had a boost in confidence for about a week.

Right scores?" You mean until I was satisfied? 3 times. In the end I never needed them. Oh well.

Well my best was my 2nd try (ACT). But my first still probably would've qualified me for my scholarship.

I took SAT I for the heck of it, 1740. I went on to SAT II ( subjects) and am getting destroyed on the inside. out of the 7 I took I'm repeating 3. ( I have to get 7 for Jordainian equvilency to the Tawjihi. So far I got a 600 in math 1 and 2, a 640 in Biology Ecology, 630 in Chemistry, and then I went to take physics World History and literature to get a feel for the tests. I'm repeating the last 3. Lit an Physics May 7th and World History June 4th.

Standardized tests, and like the other user said... Used by universities in the US/Canada (at least I think it is used in Canada) for admitting students...

I sure did; took multiple practice exams for each beforehand to get an idea of what to expect, but standardized tests were always a strength of mine in high school. Got pretty good financial aid out of the whole thing, so that I left school with pretty low debt

Took the SAT twice. First time, I got a 2190. Second time, I got a 2200. Taking it again was a major waste of my time, especially when I really only need a 1700 to get into the college I want to go to.

I took the SAT twice. My first score was a measly 1680, and my second a mildly satisfactory 1940.

I took them each once. I got a 32 on the ACT and didn't really need to take it again because that was sufficient to get me scholarship money (along with my class rank, GPA, etc.) at college.

Took the ACT once and got a 34 (which is apparently the top 1%?). I didn't see the need for the SAT after a score like that.

I took the ACT once so I was "satisfied" with it. As for SAT. The number of times I took it before I was satisfied? Twice. The number of times I took it total because of parents' insistence? Four times total.

I in fact did leave after 3.5 years; had another 1.5 to go. My scholarships were only going to be good for 4 years and I didn't want to take on out of state tuition rate loans to bridge the gap. In hindsight, I wish I had, though :(

I took the SAT twice, better score second time. I don't remember what i got tbh. I didn't bother with the ACT since my SAT/gpa was good enough for the college I was aiming for.

I took the SAT once, was happy with my score, and then I was accepted into the college I wanted to go to, so I saw no need to take it again. I've never taken the ACT.

I took it once and got a 1420 (back when the max was 1600). How many times are you supposed to take it, I thought it was generally rather easy.

Got a 1400 or so my first time :D This is back when it was out of 1600, mind you. I was good after that. I think I got like a 21 on my ACT but iirc California schools do not really use that.

The thing is two of the colleges I want to go to have a minimum SAT cap. I have exceeded the Critical reading requirement, but I am still below in the math portion(I just needed 10 more points last time). Anyway the deadline is June 1, so I will have to reach my goal on the test in May. On the 26th of that month hopefully I will have met the requirement. The funny thing is my GPA is great, and my regular math class grades have all been great. It sucks when you don't test well though  .

I only bothered testing once as on that first attempt I had met the recommended scores stated by desired university. I have no idea how well I did numerically as this was 6 years ago.
