Do you carry any weapons at any time??

Once in a while I carry a knife, mostly when I just go out into the woods at my uncle's farm because that is freaky

I'd like to be able to carry a sword around legally...I'd carry around a claymore that's as big as myself.

No, too risky. I don't get patted down as much as I used to but if I did I'd be screwed if I was carrying a weapon underneath my clothes without a permit. Oddly enough I can walk around with a rifle across my back or a sheathed sword.Tiefster

why would i carry a weapon? whats the point? If someone tried to bash/jump me and i flashed a gun/knife it my be a deterent or it may just provoke a knife/gun fight. So in a case where giving in/running away or just sticking to fists could of solved the situation you now have dead people.

Ther is something about US society that really freaks me out, you know, and its attitudes like this,

Sure if three dudes roll up with bats and want to rip your face off because they don't like it

and you shoot one in the leg, they will probably leave you alone, so yah you saved your ass this particular time

untill next time those dudes use guns and you have a bullet lodged in your brain

so that everyone feels adequetly protected from one another

its totally absurd, and the funny thing is the majority of you(us citizens) just don't get it

I agree. If someone carries a weapon around, they as hell better be ready to use it, because one of those times someone's going to pull a gun, knife, bat or what have you in response. Then what? Killing them and going to prison for the rest of their lives? There's so much ego on the roads it's incredible. People literally ruin their lives for "respect".
