Not really. I loathe the though of being in the boondoggles with gun-totin', racist, Bible-thumping, redneck Republicans.
Nah, I like where I'm at now. It's about 10 minutes out of the city, and there's still plenty to do around here.
this new style is too out thereNot really. I loathe the though of being in the boondoggles with gun-totin', racist, Bible-thumping, redneck Republicans.

I live in the suburbs which is about 40 minutes away from the city. I work around the CBD and west of Sydney and commuting sucks so I wish I lived a little close... or could get a job out here.
as much as i love living in big cities, i wouldn't mind spending a few years away from it if i had a good income.
I live about 30 min from the city as is, so I would have no problem with it. I prefer to be away from the city, it's nice to actually have some privacy and be able to see the stars at night.
What an idiotic post. You clearly don't know anything about country living. Good job. Disappointed in you[QUOTE="moneymatterz"]

For those who like cities, would you be willing to live 40-60 minutes away from the city? Your job would be in the area where you live. And this is assuming that you would be making good money in the small town.Lonelynight
I'm in that situation right now. It's almost 1.5 hours from home to work each way. But, I grew up in Northern Nevada. So, it's not really unusual.
Edit:
Reading some more. I guess not. But, I love living in the rural area where food is plenty and cheap. I loathe living in the city.
Nope. Can't stand living in the middle of nowhere. I'm sure those who less socially inclined can handle it but not me.
That's not always the case though. Ever since my dad moved up north to the one time family summer cottage, he is more social than ever. In small towns, everybody tends to know everybody. It's not like the city where you are always walking through establishments full of strangers.Nope. Can't stand living in the middle of nowhere. The one I used to frequent every weekend at the cabin was a bit more like Spring Break than it was something out of Mayberry. I don't know of any city clubs that have action like this. https://www.google.com/search?q=houghton+lake+mi+bud+bash+pics&hl=en&client=safari&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=sLRRUfjbM-iiyAH0toCgBA&ved=0CCsQsAQ&biw=480&bih=268[QUOTE="Murderstyle75"][QUOTE="Aljosa23"]

You aren't talking to a city slicker here...

I am though. I live in urban Detroit. That link is in a small town three hours north of me. Kid Rock has a place there.Definetly.. I love the nice quiet calm air. Where I can hear no people, only nature and myself. I loved the the city in my teens, and I still do to some extent.... Though now I really admire peaceful areas of nature.
my condolences bro It's actually not that bad if you stay out of da hood. Just boring compared to the country. Especially if you are like me and enjoy outdoor activities. All the cookie cutter suburban homes, businesses and miles of strip malls are pretty much an eye sore to me.[QUOTE="Murderstyle75"]I am though. I live in urban Detroit.Aljosa23

I'd buy some armor
Uh, Detroit isn't Somalia.. Maybe in certain sections.. but that's no place of interest for the common person.[QUOTE="Aljosa23"]my condolences bro It's actually not that bad if you stay out of da hood. It's so easy to slum it in the suburbs and escape on the weekend.[QUOTE="Murderstyle75"]I am though. I live in urban Detroit.Murderstyle75
