Its quite sad in my opinion that you dont know who he is.....but yea I totally agree with Mr. Wright. Next Gen is about taking gaming to a whole new level. The Wii is truly doing that.

It was just announced today. :D/agree
I've been saying this for a long time now, which is why this topic caught my interest on the main page. The Wii isn't the "best" next gen console. It is the ONLY one. The 360 and ps3 are just updated versions of older systems.
This isn't a biased fanboy opinion either, because I am actually enjoying my 360 more than my wii currently. The only worthwhile game to my right now for the wii is metroid prime 3, which even then was a disappointment to me. Thankfully fire emblem is coming out in a couple weeks.
The ps3... What's a ps3? That useless hunk of plastic that's less entertaining than a bed of spikes? I've already forgotten its existance.
IMO
People argue that this "wii is the only next gen console" means that there hasn't been a generation jump since NES and Sega days if you don't count the graphics.
But on closer inspection look what has evolved:
*2 player console as the norm has changed to 4 player consoles, which online has changed to 32+
*Graphics have improved yes... but last gen they were at the point where getting better only matters to the hardcore gamer. Besides this every Gen has increased in Graphics... so what is so revolutionary about that?
*Nintendo Wii evolved how you interact with video games
So those are just some rough points but you can see graphics do immerse you well, but they have always been improving. Yes the game pad has always been improving as well, but how much of a difference is there really between xbox controller's and xbox360 controllers.... sure its wireless and has some new fancy buttons but you still interact the same way.
Wii is the only next generation console and I'm glad I can now quote Wright to support this belief.
