I was at Walmart earlier this week and saw a Wii console sitting in the electronics section. Yesterday I went and their were nine!

Is this the sign of greater supply or less demand, or even mere chance? If either of them then maybe towards the end of '08 those of you who wanted will get your different colored Wiis.

Hopefully this is a sign of the Wii shortage being over. For some reason though 9 Wii's on the floor might not be a sign. Those Wii's are probably gone by now.

lol I love how the Wii is selling so well that a topic, supplied with pictures, gets created when a store actually has 9 Wii's left.

You hit after a restock. Walmart doesn't say when they get in units. Also notice they are at the bottom most people never look down. Personally shelves need to be elevated somewhat I detest bending down to look at what is on the bottom. Move it two feet up.

I know the store I work at just got about 30 Wiis in on Friday, which is a lot more than they had been getting.

You probably got there right after the truck. I saw one Wii for sale on Dec 27th, the last time before that was in October.

The bottom two feet of the shelves is roughly 1/3 of the space. They'd have to make the store 50% larger if they got rid of the bottom two feet of shelving.

There's a whole science to what goes where on shelves. Eye level is the best area, so that's where the games go. The games are where a company makes the real money.

Last time I went to the high street (In London) I saw a gamestation with a big sign saying "WII'S IN STOCK!!! HURRY UP!!!", may have been pure chance though. Not in stock on Amazon US, but is in stock on Amazon UK. maybe things are looking up for the customer, or things are looking down for Nintendo...

When I got my Wii it was completely surprising as I saw 10 just sitting there. yet 10 miles away in another Best Buy, all had been sold out at like 8 AM on every shipment. Its all supply and demand.

I think that there weren't Wiis for sale for something like 2 months in Portugal. Nintendo probably redirected european Wiis to bigger more important markets like Germany and UK. There's simply no store/site selling them here.

Besides i've reserved 1 Mario Kart and havent received a text message to go pick it up yet.. game was released Friday 11th, lets hope i get lucky Monday.

On the other hand i think store employees can build castles to play paintball with all the PS3 boxes they aren't selling...

Where are u from? depending on ur location and how far Wlamart is from a community u'll notice more or less Wii's.... i live in NYC and the Nintendo Store sells out their Wii's daily... on weekends they sell 200 in less than 2 hours! i think it depends on location :)
