why when i played DS game on 3ds it looked wash up??

i didnt notice it when i first purchase a 3ds, i played mario the whole week and loved it, then im in the mood for some old ds game, i played NSM,pokemon black, dragon quest 9 and all of them look wash up compared when i played on ds lite?? is my 3ds broken?? i got panic now, and i dont think the store accept return, i dont live on a country where nintendo got an official store, the seller here pretty much imported it....

All DS games look washed up on the 3DS. Hold Start+Select while starting a game to play it in its real resolution.

I was thinking the same thing when playing Pokemon White on my 3ds.

This could have been solved had Ninty simply doubled the amount of pixels.

do u think its going to be possible for the future if nintendo only relase a firmware considering this issues?? or if they want to make a perfect backward compatibility there going to need some hardware changes?? maybe 3dsi

Your lucky to get backwards compatibility at all. They will never perfect it in the future.
