What are you playing this week on DS?

I think it'd be interesting to hear what folks are currently playing this week on DS and what achievement you hope to make in your next few days of gaming.

This week I've been playing Yoshi's Island and Zelda Phantom Hourglass after taking a long break from both of them. I just got onto World 3 on YI so hopefully I'll be able to get through a few levels before the weekend. YI is possibly my favourite DS game - I just love the colourful hand drawn graphic style and Yoshi is my favourite Nintendo character by a long way.

I've no idea how far I'm through Zelda, so again I just want to make some progress. I actually think I hate Zelda games - got most of them on a Gamecube collection and none of them have grabbed me. Dunno why, as I can recognise that they are good games...

And, spectacularly, I managed to finish an operation in the original Trauma Center that'd been bugging me for months! You can't believe how rock hard this game is!! Now I'm on the operation where you have to defuse a bomb - I keep getting blown up because I can't cut the wires on the final stage where the timer counts down. I think my screen cover is making the stylus register too imprecisely to cut the tiny wires. Oh well, I'm sure I'll figure something out.

So, post what you're playing right now and what you hope to achieve in the next week or so. Be good if we can make this thread an ongoing thing from week to week.

I just finished Elite Beat Agents a few moments ago. The last song was hell, i must have spent 2 hours on that song alone. I then started playing on "sweatin mode" (hard mode) and i only got to the 5th song.

I think tomorrow im gonna start with Trauma Center 2.

hmm I'm having a bad time on EBA right now, currently on Jumping Jack flash(hard rock)

And on Trauma center (the first one) when you must save 5 kiriyaki patients

then just started on Top Spin 3, DQMJ and Sims 2 castaway

Right now I'm playing Final Fantasy IV, but it's a switch off between Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Fianl Fantasy Tactics A2, and Advance Wars: Dual Strike.

Thinking about getting the two Trauma Centers.

The bomb mission you mention is, in my opinion, one of the coolest missoins in gaming. Ever. That was intense.

And incidentally, this week I've been working on Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2. It's not very different from the original but I loved the first so I'm really enjoying the sequel. I like the old art style a bit more, but the addictive, arcade-like gameplay is really awesome. Plenty of new missions, but also some repeats (for example, I've already battled slightly changed versions of Kyriaki :(). Still, great game and I'm loving it. I hope to finish it sometime next week -- I've just started Chapter 5, but I'm unsure how many chapters there are in this one (if I remember correctly, we got 7 in the original...).

I'm playing Crosswords DS (still, since May) and Geometry Wars: Galaxies.

In Crosswords, i've completed 100% of the easy puzzles and i'm 70% through the medium ones. I'd like to complete the medium puzzles in the next little bit, and move onto hard.

In Geo Wars, i'd like to gold medal all the planets in the Beta galaxy before the end of the long weekend (2 of 4 planets are gold, and then one is silver, one is bronze).

well i just beet FFXII and DQMJ(including solitairs challenge)

both very fun...id say DQ series wins that one

FFIV. My girlfriend and I are just breezing right through it. I don't understand why so many people keep complaining about the challenge level. Even my girlfriend can beat most of the bosses in 2 or 3 tries without my help!:roll:Caer_Death

As of right now nothing. Maybe some FFTA2, Super Princess Peach, and replay Kirby Canvas Curse though.

I just got two new DS games for my holiday to Belgium in a couple of weeks: Star Fox Command and Rayman DS.

I'm taking Star Fox Command one step at a time, but I find it an enjoyable game so far and the control scheme works surprisingly well, although I can't help but imagine what it would be like if they just implemented a traditional control scheme.

Rayman DS is also a very cool game. The controls are a bit too clunky as a 3D platformer simply requires an analogue stick, but it's just so exciting to be able to play this port of Rayman 2 on a portable.

Haha, same damn game I've been playing for the last month or so: Etrian Oddysee. Rock hard. Like. raelly hard. To anyone that knows, I'm on the 30th floor, and am getting slaughtered by Primevil. level 86 party. I might cry...Freeglader

Cool. I got this game a couple of months ago but haven't really gotten into it yet. I might try and do something with it next week. I really love these old school RPGs. Reminds me of the Bard's Tale series.
