Weird question.Does your Nintendo 3DS make a snapping noise when you open it up?

Right before it's fully open? Like when there's this small threshold/step that keeps the screen up. Mine is pretty much silent until that.

Note: My DSL used to make that snapping noise.

i think it makes different sounds for everyone :D ... mine does the zelda theme when it opens up ....

but seriously though it's supposed to click ... every game site that reviewed it showed that it clicked ... and also the postioning of the screen is i think what is optimal for 3d viewing thats why they somewhat made that the "placeholder" for it

mine makes no sound at all when i open it.

It clicks when the top screen opens all the way. Was the same with my DS phat. The click sounds perfectly normal to me. The wiggle of the top screen, however, is not cool at all.

It's supposed to make that noise, if it didn't you would probably end up with hinge problems in the future, my dsi xl doesnt make this noise and the screen wobbles all over the place yet my ds phat makes a big snapping noise and is still going strong.
