Switched to Nintendo

I've owned the NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, DS Lite. Pretty much ALMOST everything, besides the crappy virtual boy.

I did however also own a PS2 -- so i got the best of two worlds.

i owned every nintendo console. i almost didnt get the wii because i was disappointed with the failure of the gamecube and i almost gota ps3 despite the cost of the system. at the last moment i decided to get a wii because i didnt want to miss out on mario galaxy, twilight princess, and smash bros, among other things.

EDIT LOL i forgot about the virtual boy. no i didnt own that. so every ninty console EXCEPT vboy

I think I'm mostly a Nintendo fan then a Sega fan.

I've owned: Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Panasonic Real 3DO, Playstation, and Playstation 2.

I got a Wii for Christmas, and just got an X-Box 360 almost two weeks ago.

I never owned a NES or Genesis, though my Bro did. The first console I truely owned was a SNES. After that, it went in this order:

Playstation

Dreamcast

PS2 (two versions... first the older "fat" model, which eventually stopped working, and then later a new slim-line to replace it)

GCN (got it as a HS graduation present)

PSP (bought it used off a neighbor for 50 USD... the deal included three games and three movies, as well as a starter kit :D)

DS Lite

Xbox ("inherited" from my Dad, after he got the 360)

Wii

I never owned a N64, since my mother would only let me buy one system at the time. I also don't own a 360, though I used to get to play one when I visiting my folks (until it broke).

1989 NES ( Famicom actually. I lived in the Philippines till I was 11 so it was thefamicom for me )

1992 Turbo Grafx 16 (1st consoleI got when I movedto theU.S. )

1994 Super Nintendo ( also had the 3DO at the time but there were no real goodgames for it so my super nintendo was my main console )

1997 N64 ( 1st console I bought at the launch date )

2002Gamecube( I also got a PS2 later on so I got the best of both worlds there )

2006 Wii ( I got my xbox 360 this year as well so I can have my High Def gaming fix )

Yeah there's a few AWESOME rare ones in there. Sad to say a lot of them most of the younger readers here (which seems to be most everybody) probably have never heard of :(

Btw the Gamecube was a FANTASTIC machine and an excellent piece of hardware. Very clean and fast loading. TWICE as powerful as the pitiful PS2. It did suffer from commercial failure but it was a great GAMER'S machine. It housed some of the best games of the last generations as EXCLUSIVES and some of the best games EVER!!! i.e. Metroid Prime 1 and 2, RE4 and the Wind Waker.

Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Mario kart.....many many more.

I have been Pure nintendo, Not once have i ever owned and Non-Nintendo system.

I was there for the good times, the Golden Age for the NES adn SNES, and the Bad years of the N64 and GCN, Buying up ANY game that came out for it no matter what it was, (I was a Rabid Fanboy who saw Ninty as my Lord and God, and other like me we trying to go on a Crusade tp Convert or Destroy anybody who owned what we called "The Flase Ones".......................................After getting beaten over a Debate for Who was better, Cloud Strife or Mario, i saw the error of my ways and just became a fan, not a radical zealot anymore.)

All i can say is, the good old days are here again.

Xbox (wanted to try a new breed of console)

PS3 (never owned a sony console before, as you can see above. Microsoft bringing out a far superior version of their console already put me off them. I woul've stuck with the wii alone, I've always been a one console per generation kinda guy, but Nintendo have gone completely off on a tangent with the wii (plus now I'm older and have more money :D, and there's a few games on the other two that I didn't wanna miss. Havin ALOT more fun with the Wii so far)

I've played a lot of the others, but those are the ones that I've personally owned in their respective orders. the Square Sony deal brought me to playstation for the exclusives, but Nintendo won me back since Playstation has little to offer these days.

...snes, GBA, GBA color, andcube....i guess nes was outaa my time and i never liked handheld that much...

im surprised so many look down to the Gamecube...I personally think it had the best first party titles last generation, eventhough it severly lacked in third party. My top 3/5 games from last generation were on Gamecube.chex81

The GC was a great console and some of the first party titles were amazing, but the lack of 3rd party support really, REALLY damaged it.
