We Want to know which do you think is better!

Here we go again. My opinions on the matter:
Melee is by far the superior game for more serious play, but also allows you to have quite a bit of fun in multiplayer with a few friends. Single player is short, simple and arcade-y. Adventure mode doesn't pretend to be the main attraction when its clearly just there as a bonus. Stages were some of the best in the series. So many characters compared to the original, though some were close to strait clones.
Brawl is by far the superior game for friendly play. New items really add to the craziness. Serious play is possible, but the lack of any built in advanced moves, almost non-existent hit stun, and tripping make it much less enjoyable. Single player is awful. Adventure mode is the main draw, but it is slow (partially as an effect from the rather toned down, floaty fighting style), tedious, and far too long -- You just can't make a good action platformer out of a fighter. Tons of extra content. Great music and look. New stages were Ok, a mixed bag. Lots of characters with pretty good balance.
It really just comes down to what you like. I prefer more serious play, thus,I find melee to be the superior game. I played that game till the day Brawl came out (and sometimes I still do). I've stopped playing Brawl already.
I swear, this topic gets made every month :PSonick54
It really does. :P Anyways, I voted Brawl, and I dare not get into the reasons why, as I'll be here all night long...
Brawl is more fun.
Melee people get way into the match and really annoy me and we end up getting really mad pretty soon, which is the opposite of the intended purpose.
Both are fun games, though.
Melee by far.
-Melee has a more interesting Adventure Mode (even if it has less effort put into it)
-Melee has a more balanced character roster (which is pretty sad)
-Melee has better graphics (I'll take anti-aliasing over pixelated high-res textures any day)
-Melee has faster-paced, skill-focused gameplay (Instead of slow motion, Meta-Knight, and tripping)
-Melee has Mewtwo (Brawl has nothing)
-Melee has better online
Even though this is sarcasm, it's still lack funny...Melee by far.

i tell you the real answer is to play a real fighter game like samurai showdown anthology or tvcelbert_b_23Funny, Melee and Brawl have better critic scores than both of those...

The only thing I was joking about is the online. Melee and Brawl are equal in that regard.

I'm gonna have to issue you an "I love the way you love melee more than brawl" High-FiveWell, I just picked melee cause captain falcon is way better in that one. I rocked with him:) but in brawl he somehow just stinks. hes not as strong I thing and gets flung around alot more.
BlazBlue. Definitely BlazBlue. Have you played BlazBlue? No, you haven't. Definitely BlazBlue.
Mandatory Neon Love for BlazBlue aside, I prefer Brawl to Melee. Though when Melee came out I preferred it to the original. One of the cool things about SSB is that each entry has been better than the previous one. I wish they brought over everyone from Melee, but I'll have to live with little things like that. It's more fun to play with four people in Brawl than it is in Melee, and it's more fun to play with four people in Melee than it is in the original. But I really do like Brawl a lot. It's good fun, and until I get my hands on Tatsunoko VS Capcom to see if that game is better than Brawl or not, at the moment SSB: Brawl is the best fighter the Wii has.
I enjoy Super Smash Bros. Brawl a lot more for being more polished than Super Smash Bros. Melee. That is my main reason.
