Sonic Generations GI Review: 5.75

There complaints seem to be recycled levels, lack of Robotnik boss fights, and that the game either holds your hand or throws you into cheap pitfalls at random.

I've decided I'm getting it at some point, the 3D effect looks cool, but I decided a long time ago I'll wait a few months to see it hit $20

I think I'll also wait until the 3DS version is on sale.

the game is pretty short and it is supposed to be nostalgic so all the stages are rehashed -boss fights...and the extra challenges are tedious and boring so i would kind of agree with thatjosephl64

Who cares what people has to say about the game, if Sonic Generations get a 5.75 then Star Fox 64 for the 3DS should of gotten a much lower score, because STAR FOX 64 for the 3DS is by far the shortest game i've ever play in my life. Beat the game in 1 hour. Tu2lauj

I have it on the Xbox 360, and if the whole game is anything like the 2D parts in the 360 version, then I would buy it if I didn't have that version already. The game is awesome. The other version at least.

I don't mind a short video game if it is a great time and is very replayable. Star Fox 64 was short yes, but I've already replayed it numerous times and will likely play it more.

What a change of pace. Not only is it the first time that Sonic does really well on a non-Sega/Nintendo console, but it's also the first time that a handheld Sonic does worse than it's console counterpart (Sonic Genesis for GBA not withstanding).

Other than Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Cave Story 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, Tekken 3D Prime, Tales of the Abyss 3D, Nano Assault, Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights.
