Should I get a wii u or a 3ds

With talks of NX, it might be smart going with 3ds, it has a lot of great games and even counter parts to the wii u. (Eg. SSB on both, mario kart 8 v 7). For zelda, you will probably miss the new wii u zelda, but they have a link between worlds, OoT / MM remakes

Go for the 3DS. The Wii U looks like a dead system no matter what Nintendo says, but the 3DS still has juice in its veins.

If I had to choose I'd go for the 3DS and I'm not even for handheld systems... the WiiU is dead pretty much.

I love Nintendo handhelds, so, 3ds. Though the wii u has a handful of incredible games as well.

3ds, you get one new zelda game (link between worlds), the best versions of ocarina and mojoras mask and the upcoming triforce heros. Smash and kart are better played in hd on the big screen but at least you wont miss out entirely.
