I'm planning on buying a DS for christmas, but am not sure if its really for me. In my mind, Nintendo has always been about games that are geared towards the younger generation, and for people my age (20+) it seems that a PSP would be more suitable. However a few games have caught my eye (Zelda, Mario: BIS, Chrono trigger) and have made me want to get a DS. So is a DS really worth getting? or will I regret it after purchasing one, only to see games such as hannah montana and other kiddie games? Thanks.

I'd say that the DS is more for mature gamers. You have games like Dementium and Castlevania. Then you have classic rpg's like Chrono Trigger and the Dragon Quest series. So if you buy the right games you will be very satisfied with a DS.

The fun thing about the DS ( in my opinion ) is that there are a broad range of game genres to choose from. Yeah there are Hannah Montana types of games but then they also have the Prof.Layton,Phoenix Wright, Final Fantasy, Shin Megami Tensei ones too.

No regrets if you buy one, guaranteed. :D

Think it depends what sort of game you like.

Shooters/Racers/Sport then get a psp

Puzzle/RPG/Platformers then get a DS

I have both and get a lot out of the both systems so......

I recommend looking over the games on the DS site and the PSP site. Then decide which has the most kind of games you like.

I'm 60. I love all puzzle games, strategy games, and most rpgs. There's a lot of games for "mature" people on the DS.

Luckily, I'm not.

If you pull up a list off every DS game you'd see how versatile the system is. I see it as no matter what, you have aaccess to games you are going to love. I have yet to meet anyone disappointed in their DS... True Gaming Device when added with the R4

Yeah you should get a DS.

There are mature games for you to play and games that aren't mature but are still really fun...

So get a DS,you won't regret you did.
