Glad to hear somebody likes it! I was still going to buy it anyway with so many people hating on it, I mean, it's frickin' Zelda! How bad can it really be?!?!
I have had it for a while but have yet to finish it. It is not a bad game, it just has not pulled me in yet. I got tired of going through the Ocean King Temple.
I LOVED it. Yeah the Temple thing got old fast BUT the more weapons you got, the easier it was to get through (I love shooting guards in the back with my crossbow.)
Plus the graphics - WHEW! I've never seen them better.
i juast didnt liek the game cause it was too easy overall and the stylus controls didnt always respond the way i wanted them to. i just couldnt get into this one, eventhough i love most of the other zelda games. i beat it once and seriously forgot i even own a copy till just now
AS a DS game, it was alright. As a Zelda game, not so good. It got boring, and it was a chore to finish.brokenfetus
^what he said goes for me as well. Minish Cap on the other hand was a far better handheld zelda IMO, and its quite overlooked when it comes to zelda games.
it should be evident by now that LoZ: PH has a very polarized audience. people tend to either love the game or hate it. the only reason why you see so many people that don't like it is because the whiners scream about how atrocious it is far more than the appreciators laud it.
i liked that game... before my lil cousin deleted my file lol. it got boring at times but after i beated the game i just went and completed stuff... i got the invisible clothes which i can't wear... maybe theres more to that side quest.. iono lol. if you want you can go hit the fake link alot... he gives you alot of boat peices haha thats how i got full gold ship and also you can try to complete the ocean king temple at the most minimum time. i got 0:00 on the halfpoint teleport and 0:02 on the final thing,
I really didn't like the game at all. I mean...I want an old school Zelda, where you use the actual buttons instead of always using the stylus. I was hoping in Phantom hourglass something like Zelda minish cap and/or oracle of time or seasons. But of course, that is my opinion. For the looks of it...many reviewers loved it, and so did many people.
I really like this game so far. I got it last week, and its kept me super busy. But your in the temple of the ocean king alot... but its challenging.. but I still like it! :)
it took me 10 months to finish on and off but the ending is pretty good. The story isnt very engaging because sailing around constantly becomes a pain (until a little bit past half the game), but its still a lot of fun.
I wouldn't say it's better than some of the previous entries by no means do I think it sucked. In fact I rather enjoyed it; even the stylus only controls. I think I enjoyed it better with touch screen controls but I do agree, they should have applied a button configuration as well, though I don't see how some of the weapons would work then. For instance the boomerang. Yeah, the Ocean King temple became a drag later on and I was hoping for a bit more side quests, overall it's a grade A game in my opinion.
