Is this in a tin same as the American version?

Yep, it'll be the exact same. The only difference is there would be a french manual included but they probably just made a North American version that has english, french and spanish anyways.

i was a bit bummed that there wasnt a tin release in the UK, and that we merely get a plastic cover in a sleeve for £40, so with ebay and internet goodness ive ordered a canadian tin edition, and a european version (for the game disc itself in PAL) for £55. (free postage from canada = awesome bargain!)

then ill ebay the canadian disc and manual in european packaging for next to nothing to try and make up some of or all of the £15 difference. ill have to wait a while, but if i saw a tin in the shop for like £50 when the plastic is £40...id pay the difference :)

It's the same and unless your in Quebec the games are almost always completly the same.

yeah, seems so...seems like the tin was only an american version :(

although its hard to tell i cant find any official say so, because nowhere actually specifies the box - all sites and stores, english or american, merely say collectors edition...
