"There will be games that will be enhanced by the Wii Motion Plus as well as games that can only be played with it. Users will need four if they have four controllers, but we're going to try to offer it for as little as possible. We haven't announced the price yet, but the cost of making the Wii Motion Plus is not that much, so I think we can make it very affordable."

Good news for those who are looking to get a whole set and not just one.

By cheap he probably means $15-20. So in other words if you do have for Wii Remotes you will have to spend $60 to upgrade all of them.

considering something cheap and really being cheap (from a consumer standpoint) is something different.

i really don't think that one wii motionplus will be available for under 20 bucks.

maybe they're making it up to those who bought the wii and were expecting a 1:1 motion in the first place.

now that they have the $$$, they can take a few $ hit per wii motion-plus sold right?

i bet u nintendo originally had these for launch built in to the remotes, but held them so they could pull this on us and make the extra profit, no matter how small, on everyone who already has all of the peripherals. I wouldn't be surprised.

not that paranoid! they just should bundle it for free with games that support Wii Motion Plus. That would boost up their software sales as well as spread the wii motion plus around. i really dont think that the ratio of total controllers sold vs wii motion plus sold will be "one to one".

Personally, I'm expecting them to be priced at $100; that way I can only be pleasantly surprised. ;)

That's not too bad if it's $15. If you buy wii sports resort you get a free one so $45 bucks total isn't that bad. Isn't a nunchuk about $15 bucks these days too?

Definitely in the agreement with the consensus of it being ten bucks ($9.99) but I wouldn't be surprised if it was $14.99. The Wii Wheel is just plastic and that's fifteen bucks so "cheap" to Nintendo could be anything...:?

They should just build it into all future models of Wii remote, give it a slight redesign, call it Wiimote+ so consumers know what their getting.

Thats true too.

On a side note, I saw a Wii Wheel being sold for about $30 at blockbuster the other day ... what the hell.

Wii Sports Resort is going for $49.99 with Wii MotionPlus inside it.

Wii MotionPlus is going to be sold seperately too.

$4.99 woud be nice. Nintendo needs to consider that if they price this even the slightest past high, it will divide the Wii console owner base and leave third parties unenthusiastic about making games for half an audience, or even smaller.

$4.99 ensures an immense amount of penetration into the Wii owner base.

I'm expecting it to be anywhere between $10-$20.

I really, really like the idea of $5, though. :P Seriously. When you're a fifteen year old girl with no job living in a lower middle class family and you have to save up for a month just to buy one game, you can't exactly afford having to pay a lot for a gaming accessory!

I have a huge feeling that Resort will sell better than motion plus seperately just because it's Wiisports on it. I would get motion plus seperately.

I would assume $15-$20. Buying all this crap that is almost needed to get the most enjoyment out of games has almost made the system cost more than my 360. I'm just glad I don't like driving games or I would have to get the wheel too.

I think they'll be around $30 each.

Anyone who thinks they'll sell these for $15 is crazy. Remember, this is the same company that charged $15 for extra plastic wheels when Mario Kart launched.

I expect them to sell for $19.99 usd. Anything higher than that would be too much.

Unless they advertise Wii Sports resport and how it benefits from M+ to the limit. People will never know about it nor have a reason to buy it. I'm sure they will use the old "Wii would like to play" commercials and try to brainwash everyone into buying the game...

Whatever the price I can't wait for it to come out.

Just think how much more fun the Wii will be.

It's like this new update for Gamespot coming out, it's going to make every great part even better.

Judging by the price of other accessories (Nunchuk/CIassic Controller/Wii Zapper), I assume it'll be around $20. Then again, the Wheel is only $15, but that's just cheap plastic. At least the Zapper comes with a game. Hopefully M+ will only be $10 - $15, but either way, Nintendo's going to force us to buy multiple copies of it.

Dude, people will buy M+ for a game. For some this game will be WiiSports, for others it will be Zelda or even Red Steel 2. The M+ alone will probably reach reasonable sales once more than a couple good games support it, making it unwise to buyM+ bundles.

IGN rumored as much as 25 bucks a pop, and even Iwata's "cheap" doesn't mean a whole lot. I'm expecting to shell out at least 60-70 bucks to upgrade all my controllers. Not that I actually WILL -- this is pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back, and I consider myself done with Nintendo (at least on the console front -- I'm still loving the DS).
