Nintendo tested the Wii morning, noon, and night  before releasing. If it was to get HOT then maybe they would of scrap the whole 24 thing. The wii doesnt get HOT but warm.

Nope. Perfectly safe. It does get warm but not hot at all. Nintendo said it gets about as hot as a small light bulb :P

Wii Connect24 is something nintendo is going to put to more use in the future. Iv'e heard rumors of big plans for the Connect24 concept. So, even if it's bad for the consol (which it's not) It won't be for long.....

No, WiiConnect24 isn't bad for the Wii. When you turn it "off" it's no different then putting a computer in sleep mode.

This has happened like...twice, they were defective consols. Every system has defective consols and Nintendo replaced all of them. I have mine on WiiConnect 24/Standby all day, all night and no problems so far.

Well it isn't WiiConnect24 that does it, it is putting the Wii in a small area that isn't breathable. I did that, not a good idea. Whatever though, I can deal. I'll just call up Nintendo and get a new one:).
