The Conduit is an average corridoor shooter with a cliche plot and horrible art design. If you can get past that, then there are some really great technical graphics, excellent controlls and a superb online set up. So its a bit of a mixed bag really.

If you have played a lot of shooters on other consoles, then The Conduit might not really be worth your time. If you are a Wii only owner, it still might not be exactly what youre expecting, but it might be worth a look.

Online is cool, and you can play with the Wiimote. The controls are also extremely customizable.

It's worth picking up if all you want to do is play online with only 1 player local.

Yes! I went out and got The Conduit on the day of its release, having been anticipating it for a long time, and I'm glad to say it doesn't disappoint. It's nice for us Wii-only owners to have an FPS that's all our own on the Wii. My complaints are few. One such complaint is that the controls do not include a function to duck behind cover and lean out to fire at enemies. Another is that the game IS a bit short-- only 9 missions (somewhere around 15 would have been nice). However, the missions are supplemented with storyline-enhancing elements such as radio broadcasts as well as secrets (hidden messages and data discs to find). Overall, though, it's a cool game and definitely worth the money (now we need a sequel).

The Conduit is a generic first person shooter with great controls and pretty good online for a Wii game. 7/10.

Rent it first if you can do it for cheap. Either you'll like it for the online multiplayer or you'll hate it.

Rent it instead. If you want a great Single Player experience, get Half Life 2. There is something magical to the design of HL2 that makes things flow.

That would be great advice if Half Life 2 was available on the Wii.

Single player experience is very very generic, I thought the level design was frastrating. Controls are great and the net is totally shot in NZ so my online experience has been bad aswell, though only because of the net.

If you like shooters, then absolutely.

I think people are way too harsh on this game, sometimes for the sake of it. Its good fun - poeple say its a generic fps...which i guess it is, but nonetheless there is nothing wrong with that -if you like fps's, then you'll like it!
