A game that emphasizes graphical content will always look dated, so in that regard, yeah.
I know a lot of people will say that the gameplay is not dated, but it's not nearly as fluent as First-person Shooters are today. The 2nd analog stick is absolutely key to the FPS by today's standards, and that really hurts Goldeneye's archaic "shoulder-pressing-to-aim-up-or-down" button scheme.
Still a great game, and definitely playable, but it's just not the smoothest experience anymore.
.......I don't know what to say about that 1st line, but I think they tried the 2nd on with Rogue Agent. Wasn't that good.........There's a Legacy Platforms board for old games.
And I wish that GE remake had gone through...

[QUOTE="MAILER_DAEMON"].......I don't know what to say about that 1st line, but I think they tried the 2nd on with Rogue Agent. Wasn't that good.........1st line is basically telling you that this is off topic, since the Legacy Board is for games on systems pre-PS3, 360, and Wii. And no, Rouge Agent wasn't a remake, it was a stupid cash-in on a game that EA had nothing to do with. GoldenEye was being remade for XBLA and possibly WiiWare by Rare, but Activision put the axe on it since Iwata would only allow the game to go through if it were a Wii exclusive. Activision didn't want to hurt their relationship with Nintendo, so...There's a Legacy Platforms board for old games.
And I wish that GE remake had gone through...

Goldeneye=greatest FPS ever.

Um, Half Life 2.....that's at least one better FPS.
Although a great game in it's time, it's very dated. I played it recently, and although it's still fun to play, there are better games in the genre that have released since this game came out.
Talking HL2, who else would love to see a port on the Wii? If it can be done on the XBox, why not the Wii? Honestly, I just want more FPS that use the Wii's controls to it's full potential. MoH:H2 will only last so long....
