I heard that some Wiis broke after only less than a week, so i was just curious.

anyone who tells you that they break easily is just an xbox/playstation fanboy badmouthing the wii. Nintendo have a history of making very reliable consoles - and the wii isn't any diferent.
Naturaly there will be some faults - thats the nature of modern electronics, but generaly they are an extremely reliable system, and any problems will be sorted by nintendo's excelent customer service.
This is a complicated answer
Now some of the very first Wii's released in Nov of last year ended up bricked from an update. That was a hardware flaw in certain consoles with the processor. The majority of these consoles were never meant for retail and we planned to be demo units at stores that would never be hooked to the internet.
Then you have the defective heatsink issue where it's not placed correctly on the board. After time you get artifacts on the screen as the board burns out. This is the issue that people incorrectly blame the Wiiconnect 24 for.
As for me I've had mine since the US launch and I've sent it back twice. Once for a disk read error and once for the bearing in the fan going.
I bought my Wii on launch day and it still runs as good as the day I got it :)Fredrick2003x
