Wait, so there's still no date of release yet for this game?email2003
they just said Holiday season of 2011
[QUOTE="email2003"]Wait, so there's still no date of release yet for this game?moltenix
They said it would be out before the end of the year.
I am not happy about them not giving us a release date! i have been given this runaround before with just about every zelda for the last 10 dang years. I know it will probably come out this year and its not like its set in stone even if the dates are given, but it just gives me peace of mind for a time. Is it too much to ask for Nintendo? I would comment on the trailer but it wouldn't load for me so I will try again later.[QUOTE="moltenix"][QUOTE="email2003"]Wait, so there's still no date of release yet for this game?ekalbtwin

Heres a youtube version of it if that first video doesnt work for you

It looks good besides Zelda, she looked terrible.
But SS after those ten seconds of WiiU Zelda looks underwhelming to say the least
I need to get used to the cutscene graphics. They just look so...different. Maybe I'll get used to them after I've watched the trailer a few dozen times, like with the announcement trailer. Other than that, I'm loving the look during the gameplay, and the gameplay itself looks fun. I can't wait until it's released.
I wonder if this game will be on WiiU, much like Twilight princess was on GC and Wii.....
If not either way it will play ont he WiiU.
I love Zelda, I haven't got to play Twilight Princess at all yet, so when we get the WiiU, I will have atleast 2 Zelda games to play including this new Skyward Sword...
I just notice in the trailer at about 0:46 the girl (or Zelda I guess) on the bird is moving her lips, but there's no text....
[QUOTE="Gohansephiroth"]Is Dark Link making a comeback? :DSome new screens for the game as well
dan0314
Why would you say that?
graphics look pre-wii.SoAmazingBabylol wat
Okay i'm gonna be honest, it looks a lot like the same game as Twilight Princess, with a bit of Windwaker art style. They need to show something new with Zelda. But I guess dungeons would be fun.
The games really taking shape now it started off slow then it upped its game. This is seriously gonna be a title worth of the Zelda name.

(Right before the release of the WiiU) Yea, I'd be surprised if Skyward Sword wasn't a Wii/ WiiU game. I still cant wait to get my hands on it.[QUOTE="ekalbtwin"][QUOTE="moltenix"]I am not happy about them not giving us a release date! i have been given this runaround before with just about every zelda for the last 10 dang years. TP for Cube was delayed ALONG with the wii version. In fact, the cube TP came AFTER wii was launched. In other words, TP was delayed to launch along Wii. So unless Skyward gets delayed(which i doubt), to be launched mid 2012, or the wiiu is launched this year, there wont be a retail disc for wiiu of SS.[QUOTE="Yung_Thrandy"][QUOTE="ekalbtwin"] I am not happy about them not giving us a release date! i have been given this runaround before with just about every zelda for the last 10 dang years. The other issue is power. Wii was a souped up cube with some extra memory and speed.Basically its stated than the wii is 50% more powerful. Wii u has nothing to do with wii architecture and its visual capabilities are far beyond.Simply put, a wii game is not up the standarts of wii u for visually centered games like Zelda. It would hurt them more than help.SS looks fantastic for wii, but subpar for WiiU (and the comparisons would be even more obvious given than nintendo themselves made a Zelda HD demo that looks technically far superior).Sure, they made a tech demo for cube too,of Zelda, but it looked way worse than TP actually did.In this case the contrary is not possible.
So i can bet 100 dollars SS will not be a launch lineup title of WII U games.

lol i never said it would be a launch wii U title. just saying that it can perfectly run on it, using its controller :P in fact i have a friend that was going to buy a wii for SS but will wait until the wii U is out.Is that a magic meter I see??? It's connected to a shield icon, but I really hope so! I'm also curious about why he can change into farmboy clothes a good way into the game(as indicated by # of hearts); the pic with the spider shows him with 6 hearts instead of the 9 he has while he's flying. Some new screens for the game as well

on a side note, according to gamespot the combat is very challenging and satisfying... can't wait :D
