If you want mature games, Nintendogs, it'll teach you how to properly take care of a pet. Something that mature people do in life.

Resident evil, and Dentium The Ward(sheesh, long name). I don't think there are any others as of now.

Ninja Gaiden could be one.(Rated as 16+ by PEGI)

A serious RPG? Try The World Ends With You. It doesn't get more serious than a sadistic Reaper's Game, with the penalty for failure being death. Add that to the unhappy choices and events the characters go through... that's your serious RPG.

I think a lot of these suggestions for mature games are nice, but at the same time, I'm pretty sure they don't qualify for this poster's definition of "mature".

I think I know what you're talking about, and just about the only game that even trys to go that route is Dementium: The Ward. Correction, the only kinda decent game.

Did you know that major chains like Walmart have policies against selling m-rated ds games in their stores? Doesn't make sense, right? Well, that might be a pretty good reason why there aren't more mature games for the ds.

(btw I know the above fact because I work with the company that did pr for Gamecock)

If you've already bought a DS, then just keep looking for games you'd like. If not, and you have a couple hundred dollars more, you could try the PSP, which may have a bit more "Mature" selection for you (even though it's a huuuuge jip of how much they charge you).

Btw, if you dont mind me asking, how OLD are you?

They should make Imagine Babyz a shooter. How fun. 2 years old learning how to cock an Uzi.

And that damn game still doesn't explain how babies are made.

I don't know about M-rated games, but Contra 4 is pretty serious. They have to save the world from aliens!

...please get it. If you haven't already I mean.

I think that covers a fair amoutn of the good games for the DS. While the DS may not be offering much in terms of darker themed games, if you're looking for a game that isn't something like Cooking Mama or as bright eyed as Phantom Hourglass and Professor Layton, there has to be atleast one game in there that you'll enjoy and find to be somewhat mature at the same time.
