Zelda: Majora's Mask remake to be shown off at TGS

It seems a long time coming, but the remake is finally coming. I'm just so happy they finally decided to remake Majora's Mask. Aonuma said that Miyamoto will show it off in September at the Tokyo Game Show.

It would have been here a lot earlier had the Wii U been a bit more successful lol. At least it's had a good few years work, with at least a year still to go.

What are your thoughts on this remake on Wii U?

Can you provide a link stating that it would be shown at TGS and that it is a Wii U remake? Everything I have ever read regarding Majora's Mask has pointed to it being a 3DS-make, if anything.

I'd rather see them remake Ocariana, but I would buy Mask if it's not over priced.

This game on the Wii U would be too good to be true. I'm sure it will end up on the 3DS.

Hyrule Warriors and the new Zelda are already in the pipeline. This is not coming to Wii U.

There will be no HD remastering of Majora's Mask. The resources to do that would be astronomical, and the profit margin I doubt would be that great considering they would have to discount the game. I mean Halo 1-4 is being remastered and coming out as a bundle for the price of one game (which is awesome).

Now on the 3DS, they could charge the regular $34.99, put less resources into remastering it, and it will sell well.

This thread is incredibly misleading, there's no link to indicate said reveal and no other major gaming site is reporting this.

This thread caused me to head to GameStop and pre-order the game. Some guy in the store told me he'd put my name on a list. Laughed and winked as I handed him my $5 bucks. Seems legit.

Meh. Whatever they're planning to do with Majora's Mask, I certainly hope it's a sequel of some sort. At least something more than a fresh coat of paint.

I have a wiiU, but WTF is the point if it's not portable? All Nintendo remakes have been handheld I'm pretty sure except wind waker...

I would much rather have a 3DS remake to match OoT on 3DS.

3DS player. You plug it into your Wii U and you use the gamepad as the bottom screen, and the TV as the top screen. Its a Wii U accessory that I've been dreaming of for a long time now. OoT and MM would be perfect for this.

I really hope they do make it for 3ds. It would only make sense.

This would be ideal for MM fans such as myself, but I don't see it happening. A new game takes years to make. Majora's Mask is not the IP to sell the WiiU with either.

Nintendo worked with an outside company named Grezzo for OoT 3D. It would be so easy for them to just commission that same company to make MM 3D for the 3DS. This is the most likely outcome by far.
