Xenosaga HD trilogy to Wii U?

He says he would like to get the original team to work on it. So would this mean that they would have to work with Nintendo since they own Monolith Soft? Wii U could use some JRPG love and its in a traditional sense too. What do you guys think? Would you pay for a HD remake of the Xenosaga trilogy on Wii U?

I never got into the Xenosaga trilogy back when it came out on PS2. I'm willing to give it another whirl. Maybe I'll wind up liking it more, as I did with Wind Waker. Wii U could use the software.

I'd happily buy the trilogy. I hope they do it.

I've never even heard of the Xeno series untill I saw Xenoblade. So yes, I'd definitely buy it.

I wouldn't be interested. I liked the first one for the weirdness and epicness of the story, but the gameplay was just okay and it was a plodding experience. The second one was even worse, so much so that I couldn't get more than several hours into it before giving up.

But it wouldn't be a bad idea overall. Xenogears would get me more excited, but that would probably be too much work to upgrade.

I own the trilogy. I'm on the second disc of the third game and its been a heck of a ride. I'd do it again in HD. Not only that if it sells well for Wii U it could encourage Namco Bandai to release more games on Wii U. Maybe a Tales game?

hell yes, I still own my original PS2 games, and they had to cut the 5 part game down to 3 since it didn't sell well. So if they did a proper remake they could extend the story arc to it's originally intended fruition. I need to replay those I still love it when KOSMOS would fire up her R-Cannon "charging" *vwoooPOW*

I'd love for this game to have options. Play style choices. Xeno 1 was a traditional rpg with upgradeable stats and skills etc. But Xeno 2 was more of a link based combat system. Xeno 3 evened things out and brought back weapons and armor. I think it would be amazing if they gave players the option to choose their fighting style between all 3 of the systems. Xenosaga 2 with Xenosaga 1 traditional battles would be great. Or if you're more action inclined you could go with the Xeno 2 battle system. I think it would go a long way towards opening up for the entire crowd of RPG fans.

Have square do an HD remake of Xenogears too. Lol. That might be harder because it was all sprites. Ah, hell, I should just play the original PSX title.

I'd buy it since I love JRPG's and WiiU NEEDS some JRPG's and seeing as how I'd love to see Xenosaga Episode 5 (Xenogears) made

@bunchanumbers: yeah it's been so long since I played my old PS2 stuff but I recall the 3rd game bringing things back to a more enjoyable experience with the mechs etc. I still think the first game had it all, the presentation overall was superior regrading the interactive anime approach with some crazy cutscenes, it felt more seamless. The second and third game improved graphics but not presentation, the budget obviously got cut due to the franchise not garnering the fan base they desired.

@yixingtpot: But with full Nintendo backing it could become something special. The art style of Xenoblade Chronicles X is based on the Xenosaga 2-3 games. Or at least the character models are. It wouldn't be a stretch to use the same engine to remake the Xenosaga trilogy into a HD Wii U exclusive. I think that Monolith Soft, Nintendo, and Namco Bandai should all get together and make this happen.

They always looked interested to me. If they release them, I'd happily fork over some cash.

Never tried these games...not sure what to make of this news. I guess the Wii U could do with more RPGs.

Nintendo might as well re-release the Xenosaga games on Wii U as A) Bayonetta 2 is packaged with Bayonetta 1 for PS3 and 360 and B) Xenoblade Chronicles and Chronicles X are released on Nintendo consoles, so why not?

Make it happen! Xenosaga HD Remaster!!! It's totally possible! Katsuhiro Harada wants to do this and needs your support!

Wait, a Xenosaga remake/rerelease on the WiiU? **** yes!

So long as they fix Episode 2 a bit.

I wish to see this true, and also a complete HD remake for Xenogears, (and not rushing it)
