Why isn't my wifi working?

Why does the Wifi on my DS not work when my Wii's Wifi works fine?  Isn't it the same? 

I get my DS and stand right next to the router, and I even typed in all the setup information manually (becuase automatic for some reason didn't work), but it still won't work.

Do any of y'all have any reason why it isn't working.

Go over your manual setting and if it doesnt work try auto again. Did you put in the correct WEP key? When you try to connect what stage do you get to before it doesnt connect?Onenottoforget

When the info is in manually, it says that it has an access point, but it can't connect to the network.  When it's on automatic, it says that it can't get an IP address.

For the above poster, it was Mario Kart.

The strange thing is that my Wii works perfectly, and it is on automatic.

It still doesn't work.

Anyone?
