Smash and Kart can be played online. Aside from Mario Party you should be sorted. The only games that I feel bad that don't have online multiplayer is games like NSMB and Mario 3D World. But I think that even this will happen in the future with Nintendo games. Besides there are groups out there that do play locally. Game clubs and the like used to have Smash tournaments all the time. It sounds crazy but I ended up making more friends because I didn't have family to play Smash and Kart with after I moved.
