I remember the days when GameSpot didn't have so-so forums and good moderators that wouldn't even let a non-sensical, completely illogical post like this from even getting a single reply or live past 5 minutes.

@thehig1: Actually 343i has Halo, they COULD put it on something else if they wanted to, they wont cause that would cause Microsoft to sue their ass.

Except that MICROSOFT owns the IP, 343 is only the developer, who happen to be a subsidiary of MS only formed to develop Halo after the departure of Bungie. So no, they could not put on any system they wanted to.

As to the original question, its 2014, why cant people look up the definition of first party and what games are in that class before asking these questions.

It's not impossible. Sony could release it on other platforms if they want (e.g they're going bankrupt, and quickly port to other systems for a cash grab).

But that has a ~0.0001% chance of happening :P
