Sonic's fire belly

in all the pictures of sonic the secret rings, he has a flame coming out of his chest/belly.  Anyone know why?Eragont

I think it's cuz of the ring...

its cuz the whole basis of the game is that the bad guy(forgot name) shoots him with an arrow that will continue burning until it kills him, but to save himself he needs to go into the "nights of arabia" and find 7 gold rings, if he finds the rings for the bad guy it will reverse the whole things and sonic will be fine again. this will probably be followed by sonic stomping this guys face in. sorry if there was any unwanted spoilers in there.PerfectWhenDead

Screenshots don't do that, cameras do though.
