I placed a pre-order for the LOZ:ALBW Gold bundle. I'm excited, but I'm having some second thoughts.

Yes:
+ huge zelda fan and " I NEED MY LINK BETWEEN WORLDS NOOOW ! "
+ i get a limited edition, and i'll never have another chance to get one (at a reasonable price)
+ has games i want to play (Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, OOT 3D and a few others)
+ though i'm always careful of my budget, i can afford this one
+ hell, i'll end up getting the 3DS anyway, why not now?

No:
- I can just get the 3DS next year with Smash Bros. it's not going anywhere
- Handheld gaming is not as good as pc/console gaming.
- I hope the 3DS doesn't start collecting dust like some other portables I got.

- The 3DS may be going nowhere, but that special edition 3DS will. If you care about that at all, and if you've got time to spare for a new platform's worth of games, you might as well jump on board now.

- Handheld gaming isn't necessarily worse than pc/console gaming, it's just different. The 3DS has a bunch of games (and different types of games) that you can't experience on any other platform. Unlike, say, Sony's handhelds, it doesn't try to capture exactly the same type of games that you'd play on the consoles, and that's enough of an incentive to check out the 3DS, imo.

- If you can find, say, 5-10 released/upcoming titles on the 3DS that catch your interest, then I don't see it collecting dust for a while. This thing is selling like crazy and new games are being released all the time, so I wouldn't worry about it having too many game droughts.

I think now is a great time to jump on board with the 3DS especially since there are a lot of Special Edition 3ds that keep coming out, not to mention the fact that the 3DS has a pretty solid library now :)

i decided i'm keeping with it.

because it's special edition, if i ever decide to sell it a year from now, it will retain its value because it's scarce.
