How many people got through Twilight Princess without any help at all? If not, how long did it take you?

I chose #5. I stayed away from all spoilers past E3(well, as much as one can), and didn't use any help.Mind you, the end result was a 97hr. game, but I'm still glad that I never knew what was coming next. I like to take my time with these games, anyway.

I haven't gotten past playing it for 3-4 hours, tops. A friend is borrowing it now, and I haven't had to use a guide so far, but if I need one GameSpot is always here for me.

No. After waiting as long as I did for TP to come out I'd have to be an idiot to ruin the experience using a guide.

I use them only like once or twice during a game, I am not a big fan of using them, but I do kind of like them because when you get stuck, you can look it up, and sometimes you are like...wow, I would have never figured that out. Other games I am like...doh!

I did not have to many problems so no need for a guide, a few puzzles took some time but that was it.

I didn't use any guides. I do look at them but only if I'm really really stuck (like a week at the same place). Honestly I think this is by far the easiest zelda game so far. And zelda game are by standard easy.

Finished the game with 109 hours on the timer.......I didn't even really care about how fast to finish the game.  I was too busy going back and forth on the mini-games like fishing, flying w/ dark-Venus-fly-trap-faced bat; canoing the rapids, racing the yetis, and so on.  But I can say that I finished the game with 99% completion.  It would have been 100% if I had finished the last roll goal test (man, that is one tough mini-game!) I have to say I spent at least 20 or so hours fishing, boating, and roll goal alone.  But hey, I didn't need the guide, interestingly enough after I beat the game; I got the guide for free w/ Nintendo Power subscription!  So I have a brand spankin' new unused guide for TP  ( I made a funny!)

Go beat 'Zelda II: Adventures of Link' and say that again... Let's see how far you can go with keeping a straight face.

No, I'm too cheap to buy a guide and TP was too easy to use a guide.

I say that if you can do the game without a guide then you really shouldn't.  If you play for hours and hours to the point where you've explored and explored to the point where the challenge is just frustrating, then you should consider using a guide.  It reminds me of Majora, I played that game all the way through without a guide and it was an amazing experience.  But, there were lots of people who got stuck and then just put the game down and never got to even get halfway through.  Those people should just suck it up and cheat a little bit.  It will degrade the experience each time you do, but its better than nothing.

Nope, and I found everything but 8 poes or something like that. I found all the heart pieces on my own.

I hear ya man, most people wanna blow through their games in under a week just to brag that they beat it, but I take my time with my games, also, strategy guides are for noobs.

The water temple was soo fun! I didn't need to look at a guide. TP was straightforward...to me :|
