Very good, about time we get something like this. This way maybe people will be more aware of the differences between last gen's DS family and the current gen 3DS.

Also, you might want to add that the 3DS can take 3D photo's.

You should add the play coin mechanic, and how you can unlock things in different apps and games.

Great thread, Haziq. It's informative, very clean and well organized. :D

I noticed one small error in the DS Lite section, in the first part of it's FAQ you mention 3DS instead of DS Lite.

I found a DS Lite image that also has a clean background:

I'd add "Two outward facing cameras that allow you to take 3D pictures and record 3D videos" to the 3DS' section.

And one question for you: Do you think I should change the "3DS Info Thread" title in any way? I wouldn't want to cause any confusion between the two threads, and I've been thinking about re-naming it for a while now, I just haven't decided on a new title yet.

You can't ... yet.

Rovio has said that it will be coming to the 3DS, but it has yet to be released for the 3DS.

That seems like a pretty good deal. It shouldn't sell out so I don't think you'd have to worry about it.

How long can the ds and 3ds games hold their saves? I'm curious because all my gameboy games have stopped saving as well as some of my gameboy advance games. I love going back to see all my hard work in a game, and I don't want to lose it. Just wondering how long it'll last.

lol. Nobody stores saves on a battery anymore. Your saves are safe as long as your 3DS is safe. The reason GBA games lose their saves is because they were stored on a battery inside the cartridge. When the battery ran out, your saves disappear and you cannot save until you replace the battery.

I'd imagine it will last as long as say anything that you save on a USB flash drive or sd card. It should stay there unless it becomes corrupted.

I agree. That and Html 5 and Flash support. I would also like to see the ability to use the stylus keyboard on swapnote to type in text messages instead of the sloppy writing I have.
