Just depends on whether or not you like old-school RPGs. I think it's hard for some people to get into because it's plays exactly like a 16 year old game except with updated graphics. You also have to do a ton of level-grinding to be able to survive and the story is very basic.
Personally, I love the fact that it's total old-school, though, because it reminds me of the good old days when I was about 9 or 10 and the first Final Fantasy was first released. To me it's absolute nostalgic goodness and still remains as my favorite DS game to date.
ok heres the low down i am a huge ff fan. i loved dawn of souls ff4 ff5 and probably ff6. i also loved ff7,8 and 9. but to tell you the truth i hate ff3 i dont know what it is i cant stand playing it. unfortunatly right now its the only game i have for the ds so what can you do. i recommend not getting this
I found FF3 to be a lot of fun. I typically never cared for impersonal stories (FF1, 5, etc.) but there's something about this one that made it interesting. The job system isn't as complex as FF5's, but I get a lot of enjoyment out of taking on different monsters with different job combos.Â
I don't like it. The story is outdated and boring, and the gameplay is a bit too old school for its own good. IMO, it is an old game brightened up with a fresh coat of paint.
its my first ff and the story is pretty deep and it goes on for a long time, I've been playing it in my sapre time for about 3 months and haven't beaten it.
