This may be a dumb question, but my brother has a Wii U with a few Wii games he would like to play with the Wii remote...but there is nowhere to plug it in at in the Wii U.

So my question is are you able to plug the wii pro remote into the wii numchuk and make it work that way?

I'm a little confused by your post.

Wii remotes don't plug into anything - they're wireless remotes, and you can sync them wirelessly with the WiiU. So if he has a Wii remote (and a nunchuck), that will basically be all he needs to play most Wii games on the WiiU.

What 'Wii Pro remote' are you talking about? Do you mean the classic controller pro? That plugs into the bottom of the Wii remote, so you'll be able to play some Wii games with that controller once you sync the Wii remote with the WiiU.

the wiiU pro controller can not be used for wii games...

if you want to play wii games with a standard controller you need the wii classic controller pro. thats the one that plugs into the wiimote.

@Planeforger: Ya, I meant the wii pro controller into the back of the wireless numb-chuck. Thanks for the replies.
