Can anyone help ID this Gameboy game?

Hi all – can anyone help me ID a Gameboy game that I used to play when I was younger? I can't remember the name, and the list of Gameboy games on Wikipedia is not helping either. Having gone through the entire list, none of the names rings a bell. It was a sideways-scroller/adventure type game, similar to Mario Land. There were two games – the original and a sequel. I played the 2nd one in the middle of 1993, so it couldn't have been released any later than that. It's not Kirby. My memory of the gameplay itself is vague – I remember perhaps playing as some sort of creature/animal, rather than a human. Maybe something to do with fruit, or leaves/trees/eating plants? Not sure. Very addictive game – one of my favourites. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
