I bought the game at EB Games/Gamestop. Could this mean that an employee already played my game and they just resealed it and sold it as new? What should I do?

Was it already opened? I'd take it back myself I want everything I am entitled to buying a new game including club points.

It was just a game not the system. I'd still be upset if it was supposed to be new.

It could well be an issue with the actual code. Get in touch with Nintendo and hear what they have to say. They may well issue you a new one.

What he said ^

Nintendo customer support are friendly and understanding. They can find out what that number has been used for etc. They'll most likely just give you a new code over the phone, or register for you.

I worked at Gamestop. Thwy are allowed to check-out/rent games from the store and return them the next day, even if they are new. So maybe one of the employees checked out the game, used the code, and returned it on his next shift.

Oh well, at least you had a PIN. My 3DS didn't even come with the Club Nintendo PIN Insert :( *waves bye-bye to 160 coins*

not all gamestops can and do there resealing is always really crappy and people can tell it wasn't done by a factory.

Call Nintendo about it and let them know you picked it up from GameStop. Nintendo's customer service number is 1-800-255-3700

My DSi PIN was ripped off of the system before i actually found out what Club Nintendo was. So that's lost. My 3DS had problems registering saying it was already registered but then I opened the system packaging (The Box it comes in) and there was a Club Nintendo PIN in there. 160 Coins for me! :)

Employee probably entered the pin on his account and resealed the game.

You register the System's serial number on the bottom of the 3DS.

I did, but I have to enter the PIN to get the coins.

I had that happen to me. I called Nintendo and their customer service rep. had me cut the upc code off the game and mail it to them. After they processed it they sent me a new code to replace it. Only down side was that it had to be used within 2 weeks from receipt of the code, otherwise it would expire. I was already a platinum member, so I was kinda bummed out I couldn't save the code.

Ebgame and gamespot are **** of a company. They open the games steal the codes even take them home to play then sell them as new even tho they opened th game. I never bu games from them unless its day 1 when they havent butchered them. Not to mention horrible return policy. Only good thing for them was exclusive preorder dlc but i find latley bestbuy and futureshop in toronto have better deals then ebgames gamestop. Go back and demand a new copy.
