bayonetta #1 eshop might be best selling 3rd party game

bayonetta got #1 most sold eshop game....no full price 3rd party game has ever done it.

is this a sign that it might actually make that million?

highest mario kart 8 ever got was 2 or 3. because of the free game..most people downloaded windwaker and pikmin3 so mario kart 8 never got #1.

That's good to hear. I hope it does well overall with sales, Platinum deserve it.

I highly doubt Bayonetta 2 will sell a million copies.

It's a fun game, but the appeal of the first one across two consoles was already limited. I don't see how the sequel being on one console only (one that's selling poorly, as well) is going to hit a million copies sold.

Nintendo and Playboy teaming up to promote Bayonetta 2 is good news. They are using more avenues than you'd normally see. I saw that it was advertised like hell during Adult Swim. Its good to see that Nintendo is doing this for a fantastic game.

I thought that Bayonetta 2 is considered a first-party title due to being published by Nintendo.

I think it's going to easily sell a million

I would really love the wonderful 102, because the concept is amazing but the execution was kind of poor for the first game. Nintendo would have to pay for it though.

@onesiphorus: Its second party. 1 3rd party developer/franchise, published by console maker=2nd party. First party is a console maker or company owned by the console maker development.

Hope it does well enough that Nintendo will consider funding another sequel, or more Platinum Game projects at least. I'd really like to see a Vanquish 2 + 1 deal like Bayonetta got.

That's pretty cool.. I've been playing Bayo 1 myself (I'm at chapter 4, I think) and it's been pretty cool. The huge amount of cutscenes are bumming me out though. It's like you play the game for 2 minutes, then a 4 minute cutscene comes. The game has been doing this ever since the beginning, and I don't like it. I hope it gets better later, cause if this continues, I don't think Bayonetta is for me..

To anyone who's played them: Does Bayo 1 get better? Is Bayo 2 much better than 1?
