As everyone knows Nintendo has the absolute best couch co-op game play. I've spent the better part of my weekend playing NintendoLand, Wii Party U, and The Art of Balance with my family. Everyone had a blast. You can't get that type of interaction with any other console.

Yeah, let's filth up our holidays by all sharing a TV.

Know what's better than one quarter of the screen? The entire screen.

yeah I played Nintendoland, Wii Sports Club, MK8, TNT Nitro cars, Trine 2, Injustice, and Smash with family this holiday season. Also showed off Captain Toad (they loved it) and Bayo 2 and Zombi U when the kids went to bed. People loved the Wii U, and it probably led to a couple sales.

Wii Party U, Game & Wario, NintendoLand, and 3D World. Then my brother played Black Ops 2 zombies using double screens.

You didn't grow up with the N64 with friends, did you?

I started a Super Mario 3D World playthrough with a friend yesterday. We played for around 6 hours and had an absolute blast, the laughs just kept coming the whole time.

My stepson and I have been playing Smash on Wii U. I first let him try it on 3DS and he was hooked since.

I played Smash with my sister and her cousins pretty much all of Christmas morning. Was a total blast.

Not like the Wii days. There are surprisingly few good couch multiplayer games on the WiiU, and the okay ones don't hold nearly the same affinity from family as Wii games used to. Smash and Mario Kart are always great for a good time, but for a room full of people, that's about it.

Took Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Avengers to a friend's home last night and played cooperative multi-player (Iron Man and Captain America). Don't think I would have been able to beat Loki single player. We had a great time for a couple of hours.

Mainly Smash and Mario Kart 8. My friend got Wonderful 101 which apparently has 5 player co-op, so we're keen to see what it has to offer.

Really been enjoying Smash Brothers a lot over the past few days, between my girlfriend & I, it's been great fun. My console came bundled with NintendoLand & Mario 3D World but I have yet to give those a whirl, expecting those to be interesting as well. It's great that Nintendo has a handful of local/couch multiplayer games for the Wii U. Adds a good amount of entertainment for company or easy-going casual players.

No. I did play those games with the family when they were new games though. To be honest, Nintendoland was fun for the fam for a month or two and now it never gets played, but it was a hot title at my crib back in 2012. Wii U Party got some action last year in 2013. Art of Balance is a puzzler but we aren't really into those.

I played a little Smash Bros though.

Oh yeah! It's been Smash Bros, Smash Bros, Smash Bros, and Smash Bros.

In terms of 4 player local, it really doesn't get any better.

Smash Bros 4 is interesting these days. Let's just say the Christmas noobs helped get me to 92% fg win rate lol.

If you mean in person, I just played some melee instead.

I played some local one on one against my brother with both SSB4 Wii U and MK8 but also went over a friend's house to play local coop Smash Bros. with five other players in 8-player mode. It was hectic yet quite fun at the same time.
