Since the announcements of the PS4 and the Xbox One I was set on waiting for the Spring of 2014 to move on to the next gen, but now which the recent delays in games I'm starting to see even more that maybe I'm making the right decision. I'm also trying to hold off for the rumored PS4/Vita bundle for $500.

So which system are you getting and when?

Not for a while. I have other important things I need to save up money for. Boring stuff like a car and such.

Wii U in 2012, PS4 in 2014, Xbox One in 2015 or later if they offer a Kinect-free model in the future.

I'm not fully committed to getting either, but it won't be for a long while if/when I do.

PS4 in a year because it's the best choice. Bone sometime eventually, depends how it turns out.

Wii U probably never. Not that it sucks or anything but getting all 5 platforms seems excessive. Even 3DS/Vita/PS3 is more than enough.

I'll be picking up a PS4 early next year, maybe a Wii U sometime that year as well if I can. I'll hold off on the Xbox One until it gets some games I want to play.

Winter 2015 or spring 2016.

Sticking with just one console next gen. Will be the first time since I started gaming that I wont have every current platform. Sad times.

PS4 is my only choice.

PS4 is a better console, but Xbone has a lot more exclusives I'm interested in.

If I don't get a PS4 this year, then I will just wait for a better version of the Xbone or see if E3 gives PS4 some more exclusives.

No idea when I would be buying anyone of these system. I could be a year from now or it could be at launch. It all depends on how bored I feel.

Provided that Gamestop.com is on time with my Killzone Shadow Fall bundle, on the day of release. I got approved to have that weekend off in time to play the PS4 all weekend long. It should be a blast. :)

I'll probably go PS4 next hoilday season. More games and possible price cuts by then. My cash needs to go to more important places at the moment.

After the One-80 took away most of the issues I had with the X1, I was planning to get both systems at launch. Something I have never done before. But there seemed to be enough games I wanted to play at launch to justify the purchases.

Then I found out that inFamous: Second Son wasn't a launch title. Then I heard about Watch Dogs (which I honestly thought was a Sony exclusive for a while). And while The Crew and Drive Club weren't huge games since I'm mostly a Forza Motorsport 5 player when it comes to racing games, I'm questioning if I still want the PS4 at launch. I'll likely still buy it, just so I can give it to my family to give back to me as a Christmas gift. They always complain that I'm hard to shop for because I so often just pick up whatever I happen to want as the desire manifests.

Still getting the X1 at launch though. No way in Hell I'm not going to play a Dead Rising 3 game.

I'm still going to pick up a Xbone whenever I can find one at retail hassle free. I didn't decide on this until well after reserves were done, so that's just that. I'm not doing the call stores and run around town crap I did in 2005 for the 360.

I really am not all that interested in any next-gen games that I have heard about. I won't even feel tempted to buy a PS4 (no I am not buying a Xbox One) until the next Dark Souls type game comes out from From Software. Or, if Timesplitters 4 came out. Timesplitters Rewind doesn't count.

I would only buy a next gen console at launch if there were more launch titles, Dark Souls 2 was next gen, or if there was backwards compatibility. I'm considering buying a 3DS in the meantime.

Put it this way. I just got a 360 at last year's Black Friday. I might get a Wii if it's cheap this Black Friday. Other than that, I don't see getting a console for several years.

PC's better anyway. Better graphics, better controls usually, and cheaper prices.

I almost always never buy anything game related at launch. I just bought a new PS3 and am still looking forward to playing a lot more games in the PS3 catalog. Maybe a couple more years I'll buy the PS4.

For me, it's 2015 or 2016. There's zero point of getting an PS4 or Xbox 1 at launch (let alone right now). For PS4, two games are worthy of getting it for some gamers are Killzone Shadow Fall & Infamous Second Son.

I will probably wait one year and a half or two years and then purchase a PS4. I am hoping to start fresh with the PS4 and by then the video games I wanted when the PS4 first came out, would be cheaper. I have interest in the Xbox One, but I see no reason to get one because I feel the PS4 will be enough for me and I do not like some of the ways Microsoft decides to do things, so I will probably never purchase a video game console from Microsoft.

I will be buying both at launch. PS4 with Assassin's Creed IV and Killzone, and Xbox One with Dead Rising 3.

I'm tired of this generation of consoles. They take long to boot, long to load anything, they lack the ability to multitask, they take forever to move into and out of apps, most games run at sub-HD. This generation has just gone on too long for me. It's time to see what the incredible developers like Naughty Dog, Rockstar, Sony Santa Monica, Bethesda and others can do with new hardware.

I had a ton of fun with PS3 and 360, but the time has come to move on from them being my primary consoles.

Can't wait for 11/15 and 11/22 so PS4 and XBO can take their place alongside my PC and Wii U, replacing their tired (if awesome) predecessors.

Leaning more and more towrads never. PC has enough games in all the genres I like to keep me entertained and I don't have to deal with a lot of the BS. Ps3 may be my last console. That said when Sony Santa Monica ND relaease their next projects I may be too tempted to resist :P!

PS4 first few days of release. I'm not even picking up any games as none interest me of yet. I just have it paid off. I'll pick it up and shelve it until something comes along I want to play.

the only "console" i might buy is steam machine. all the others ones flat out suck.

no sense in wasting money on last gen low-midrange tech being pushed as next gen consoles in wiiu, xbox one and ps4.

This will be the first generation that I don't get console at launch. I learned from my mistakes. The wii and ps3's library didn't become worthy after the first 18 months or so, especially the ps3's. I'll be buying a ps4 or wii u, maybe an xbox one, a year from now... perhaps early 2015. Hell, judging by the ps4 and xbox one launch... I have no problem waiting, and looking at the wii u... I might as well wait.

I have the XBox One preordered for launch day. The games that I'm excited for which I'm going to preorder or have preordered are Call of Duty: Ghosts, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Assassin's Creed IV, and Battlefield 4.

I'm choosing XBox One over the PS4 because I'm a big Halo fan, and also, I'm hoping to see 360 exclusives carried over to the XB1, such as Alan Wake. Furthermore, there just isn't anything on the PS4 that I'm interested in.

Pretty much for 360 anyway, ps3 not so much to be honest. Last of Us, Puppeteer, Beyond Two Souls, Dragons Crown, God of War: Ascension, Gran Turismo 6, Guacamelee, Ni No Kuni, Rain, Sly Cooper, Ratchet & Clank: Into Nexus and Tales of Xillia all sound like a good year of exclusives to me. You might hate some of them on that list. But it's a pretty good list.

I'm a hermit first, cow second - and I consider all of these games are good, but not great. Great examples of the games meandering their way out onto the market before the death of a console. They certainly aren't good reasons to keep this gen alive any longer.

The current gen has a vast wealth of games available at scandalously low prices. That's a pretty good reason to continue with the current gen. This is the point where building a back library of 360 and PS3 games is most viable. Too much after 2014 and these games are going to start getting harder to find, and the prices will begin to edge upward as well. Doesn't help that the new systems are not backwards compatible and both systems have weak launch lineups that don't offer anything that's really that much better than what we already have.

I have the Xbox One preordered for launch day with AC4 (was Watch Dogs but stupid delay) and Dead Rising 3. Very excited, I hope all next gen buyers will enjoy their awesome new hardware as much as I will.
