What to expect of gaming in 2015

So now that almost 2014 is up and almost all the games are out for us this year. It's time to look forward to next year. What can we expect to get next year?

We also have other games announced or unnanounced for 2015. But to me it is looking to be a a decent year for gaming. I've felt that every other year there seems to be a down in gaming since 2010. Where big games get pushed or games are just flat out dissapointing. 2012 was a really dissapointing year. There have been good games released this year, but i can say for sure that some have been dissapointed with some games this year being total letdowns.

I think next year is going to be awesome seeing how so many of the games we have looked forward to have been delayed to 2015. I am so psyched for Battlefront 3, but i am also a little worried about it seing how the third person view is gone from the game. I just want the game to be as good as Pandemic made it 10 years ago now. There's a reason it sold well and a reason i love that series. I really hope they don't screw this one up.

Another game i am really looking forward to is Batman Arkham Knight. I've been looking forward to this since it was announced. I have faith in Rocksteady doing an amazing job on the game. I loved Arkham Asylum, because someone finally got a comic book character right in a game.

I also liked Romb Raider, i am excited to what Crystal Dynamics can do, sucks that i have to wait to 2016 to get this game though. But i am excited to see how the game is.

The last game i want to highlight is The Division. I am kind of the fence on this because i haven't seen enough. But from what i have seen, it does really impress me. I am intrigued how the modes work and the world interacts with you. I am also interested if this game has some sort of story mode aswell.

Are there any games that you are looking forward to in particular?

i can only think of the order 1886 that's not on your list. the ones i'm looking forward to the most are probably bloodborne, uncharted 4 and batman and even though i'm not ubisoft's biggest fan i'm trying to remain optimistic for rainbow 6. from the interviews i've read with ubi devs it kind of sounds like they've built the game around the multiplayer which is concerning. there's obviously a lot of potential for a good mp experience but i'm really hoping they can provide a great sp campaign too

You missed Just Cause 3, the most ridiculous and fun game that will ever happen. We could be fortunate enough to get Persona 5 in the West next year. Plus whatever games are announced tonight.

Battlefront 3 in 1st person only is disappointing. Is this confirmed?

You missed Star Fox, and a ton of RPGs and Kickstarter titles (like Pillars of Eternity, etc.).

What Nintendo domination? you mean the fact that both Sony and Microsoft have outsold the WiiU in less then 3months and now have sold almost twice as much?

Anyways looks to be a dry year again in 2015, a ton of indie titles and not really that many new good AAA games.

I'd say No Man's Sky is on top of my list, with Batman: Arkham Knight and Bloodborne as close seconds. I also hope Final Fantasy XV and Uncharted 4 both have a 2015 release and don't get delayed.

I'm not sure, I got the PS4, but I might have the XB1 by the time JC3is released.

No bro, it's a great list in general, it's just that I'm not buying alot of games next year. I'm going on a very tight budget in 2015.

I disagree

There is a few Nintendo titles which most wont play since WiiU is dead once Nintendo wakes up from their cinderella sleep. The rest is mostly FPS games and a few indies and there is the crap Ubisoft think they can release called Victory, another crappy Assassins creed game to make it 4 whole games within not even 1year.

This list makes me sad. Even if I trim the list down to only the ones I really, really want to play, a year is not enough time...

The Walking Dead Season 3 is supposed to come out sometime in 2015. I hope Telltale does a better job with Season 3 than they did with Season 2. Supposedly it's supposed to be about characters we've never seen before, kind of like the 400 Days DLC, but longer.

If they announce Wolf Among Us season 2 then i am going to flip out. That's my GOTY so far

The Wolf Among Us ranks higher on my favorites list than TWD, so I would also be ecstatic. I have a feeling we won't be getting Season 2 for a while, unfortunately, since TWD is a more successful series, and now they've got their Game of Thrones series to work on.

It's definitely my GOTY too. I really hope Telltale goes back to make Season 2. I'm just hoping that if they do go back and make Season 2, they won't screw it up like they did TWD.

Next gen kicks into gear next year.

Witcher 3 will be incredible, that and Uncharted 4 will show what our current hardware generation is capable of. Not expecting too much from Uncharted but it'll be good fun. for Wii u, Zelda will be epic, plus there's star fox.

Hope a lot more gets announced though.

@The_Last_Ride: If you like Telltale games and tlou I can't begin to think why you feel that way. Uncharted comes up smelling like a rose next to those games.

Even if they're not the best games mechanically and are pretty superficial, i've still enjoyed them immensely at the time of release. 4 seems to be a return to Drake's fortune in a way (the best structurally/artistically) and is looking great, 60fps will help it gameplay wise and it'll be one of the first technical showcases for Ps4.

I haven't played TLOU yet. But i played 1 & 2 and just got bored during the 2nd game. Terrible mechanics, worse bosses, meh storyline. The only one i can relate to is Nathan. Everyone else is badly written

There's a lot of content for Dying Light if u look it up on youtube but I haven't heard anything of Mad Max since last years E3.

Avalanch must have been side tracked by Disney Infinity, word is they are working on something new too.

But there isn't much footage of it out for either Mad Max or Dying Light. It's games that will hit my radar when there's more info

i read today that the witcher 3 has been put back from a feb release to late may. slightly disappointing but good to see a dev not rushing a game out and hopefully it'll give us something decent to play during the likely summer dry spell

@The_Last_Ride: You need to play TLOU and Left Behind. They're much better than Uncharted, in my opinion.
