In your gaming career?

Mine is finishing Star Wars Tie Fighter on the hardest difficulty without ever calling for backup (except for that "Osprey" mission where the game's plot forced you to call in reinforcements). After playing X-wing, I wanted to see if I could max out rank and medals in the Imperial navy. Can't remember if I achieved that goal, and I got killed a ton, but I did finish. Hardest difficulty. No backup.

I would like to say beating Ninja Gaiden, but unfortunately I'm still on the 15th chapter or something because I haven't played the game in awhile...:?

Finishing Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja difficulty...why I donated my health and mental stability to such a cause, I never know. Nor will I ever do it again.

I got to level 100 with Squall, irvine, and Quistis in FFVIII, and Zidane in IX. in VII I beat ruby and emerald weapon, too, and in VI I killed Kefka with one turn for each of my 4 characters. I beat metroid Zero Mission in under 2 hours. Finally, in Extreme difficulty in MGS3, I got all of the boss character's camo by defeating them using only the tranquilizer. Some pretty cool stuff.

Oh, and in Contra 4, I can beat the first level in hard mode. I think level 2 might be impossible.

Beating Ikarua. I've been playing the game 2 handed for the last few months and still cannot beat the game like this. There are videos of people doing this on youtube, buy you have no idea how hard it is until you try it.

Idk what you'd consider hardcore, but getting all 150 Pokemon on Pokemon Red was an achievement for me.

Plan on giving up your life if you ever want to beat those. While I did pass the game, I don't think I could ever have the patience to level up high enough, and even then attempt to take on those 2.

Then you're hard-corer(?) then me by one Pokemon, I was never able to get Kangaskhan, therefor I SUCK.

I guess mine would be beating Contra for NES with only three men, no continues, 1 player. Something I can't do with the XBLA version with extra men and continues.

Funny. I've had Gran Turismo tracks go on and on in my head when I've gone to bed (late) after a long session. RE4 did that exact thing to me, as well -- probably after a wimply little eight-hour binge, though. Don't worry. It only means we're deranged. ;)

Probably the extent to which I prepared for Brawl. I pre-ordered, I restored the receipt after it faded, I laid out the clothes and wallet, I even found out what time my local Gamestop was opening. I let nothing get in my way. Nothing :|.

Definitely healing in Naxxramas (WoW). Killing 2 70s including a healer with a 66 mage and corpse camp them is pretty cool too.

Perfect Dark would come second, I completed all missions in perfect mode except ship attack and the ruins.

I've finished FFVII 4 times, but only killed the emerald weapon once. I never killed the ruby weapon, but I plan on doing that after finishing FFVIII and FFIX once again.

1. Beating the Original CONTRA without being shot or dying once.

2. Beat Super Mario World in K-Mart at the kiosk when it was first released. The crowd hailed me as King!

3. Played Burnout Takedown for 14 hours straight without getting out of my chair or pausing it.

4. Played Mario 64 for 12 solid hours once.

That last two aren't really that great, but still fun to talk about.

Back in 1993, when Doom first came out, I was the first person in my dorm to get 100% of the secrets and second to finish (shareware, not all 4 episodes).

more recently, on Final Fantasy XII, I completed the Trickster hunt with an avg. char. level of 25 (gotta love the drain spell).

also, beating Belias the Gigas on Final Fantasy Tactics in four shots (gotta love the Holy spell, too).

Yeah, I got slaughtered 3 times running, went back to a save before the castle (thank goodness for that), picked up Nu Khai armbands, leveled up everyone in the party enough to get Holy, then blasted away on him. Holy is like the nuclear weapon of that game, It works really well on most all of the bosses. Especially with Excalibur equipped, so if they use magick counter you absorb it.

Let's get this sucker to 50. I like that shoplifting seagull. Funny. Does enduring 4+ minutes of Sneak King count as hardcore?
