Hey. I was just wondering if anything has been said about Rainbow Six Vegas 3?
Rainbow six vegas is one of my favorite shooter franchise, and I was hoping that someone has talked about making the 3rd. Anyone else hoping for Rainbow six vegas 3?

New Rainbow SIx in work(Will be release after the NEXT Ghost Recon=~End of 2010 or early 2011) The next Rainbow Six won't be "Vegas3" since Vegas 2 was suppose to be the last (Even says so behing the game box)
Thats cool. Do all the rainbow six games feature the cover system and similar gameplay?New Rainbow SIx in work(Will be release after the NEXT Ghost Recon=~End of 2010 or early 2011) The next Rainbow Six won't be "Vegas3" since Vegas 2 was suppose to be the last (Even says so behing the game box)

I don't think the ones on the original Xbox had that, though I could be wrong.
The first R6 games did not have a cover system nor were they the kill everything that moves type of game nor was it linear.
It'll be a reboot similar to what Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell have. (Neither of those games are going to play anything like their predecessors)

Don't get me started.

I am actually agreeing with you. Neither R6 or GR play like they were originally developed. The irony of it all is, people here complain of stale gameplay and the 2 franchises that offered something different now offer that same stale gameplay.

Yep. By the way, what threw me off was that you're a supporter of the GhostRecon site.
The thing is, I'm not sure people know what they want. They complain, the developers listen, and they still end up complaining about other stuff.
Rainbow Six: Vegas perfected the cover system in my opinion. It also had my favorite multiplayer map of all time (Calypso Casino). Vegas 2 was OK, but other than a sprint button it failed to evolve the series at all (and took a step back in multiplayer). Terrorist hunts are also probably the best co-op mode of any game this generation. Considering these games came out earlier in this generation, that's saying a lot.
That said, the Vegas storyline is done, but I think as long as they use the mechanics from the Vegas series, freshen up the graphics a bit, improve the matchmaking, and go back to the original Vegas' multiplayer options the next Rainbow Six will be a must-buy for me. FYI, I'm speaking as a console gamer; the old Rainbow Six games were too complicated (plotting out teammate paths, brutal difficulty) and that doesn't translate well to consoles anyway.

I enjoyed both Vegas games very much although Vegas 2 felt like it really didn't try anything new except the unlockables. I would be seriously pumped for Vegas 3 except it would probably use Ubisofts horrible new online DRM which would mean no purchase from me no matter how good the game was.
there is another Rainbow 6 in the works, but not a vegasAndrovinusThats good to know, loved the series and miss the online action. I picked up Vegas 1 a month ago for $10 and it hasn't aged well at all. Everything was blury and it felt like I was in slo-mo. I think they will make the next rainbow pretty kick ass though and can't wait for it.

I was on staff at GR.net and Aggression (R6 fan site). It's a long story about why I no longer am on staff, but I will not go into it. I will say that I will no longer buy any games from Ubi, no matter who actually devleoped them. Their lack of support, FUBARing of franchises and worse, the DRM that they are using why completely overlooking console piracy and not actually listening to fans has made me decide to spend my money elsewhere, namely, add-ons for FS9/X.
