Geist for GameCube. I'm playing it now, and I'm incredibly impressed. It got decent reviews, but not great, and it's a game you never hear about. Personally, I'd rank it right up there with Half-Life, which it reminds me a lot of.

Dungeon Keeper and Theme hospital on PC, best pc games ever.JLF1

I saw Dungeon Keeper in a store once, and I thought about picking it up, but I hadn't really heard anything about it, so I was hesitant. Of course that was about four years ago or so...

I always thought Medievil 2 was a pretty decent sequel. Anyways, I think the Monkey Island games were all overlooked. Sure people who play games as a serious hobby know about these games but to some of my friends, who are casual gamers, they have never even heard about the MI games. Well, until I told them how good they were :p.

game series that was good to me ,, and forgotten well sorta forgotten,, top gear, the last one known is rpm tuning which is nothing to do with the originals ,, top gear topgear 2 top gear 3000 top gear rally top gear rally 2 or top gear hyper bike, overdrive was also on the lacking side ,, so ever since that one,, i dont know the gba one was ok ,,

the other one believe it or not is a nintendo made one, as much as they bring sequal after sequal this is one that never saw a sequal ,, stunt race fx ,another snes games and rock n roll racing although remade on gba there wasnt a sequal to it , which is odd

yeah I loved Medievil and yeah 2 wasn't a good sequel!

another one is MGS1 I guess it's underrated , I didn't hear anybody talking about it anywhere here , even if it's very old I think it's somehow better than MGS2!

Stonekeep for PC.

zeus_gb

 I have a soft spot for that game. Not out of respect for it's quality (pretty low really) but several of the segments were so full of character.

Especially what's-his-name who's always yelling BAH!!!!

The Descent series was popular back at the time of its release, but now the six-degrees-of-freedom subgenre is gone for some reason. :(

FreeSpace 2 was also good.

For those of you into freeware, Savage: The Battle for Newerth is worth checking out. The game has a steep learning curve, but once you know what to do, you'll have a blast.

Shadowman for the N64 and Dreamcast (but not the one for the PS1), the N64 needed more dark games like it instead of more Mario clones; and there was also Mischief Makers. Defenetly some of the best, most underrated games on the N64

ShadowMan was great. I got it too late to really get into it before getting my Xbox, but it was really atmospheric. I agree. The N64 could have done with more adult-themed games like ShadowMan.

I'm new in the forum and i couldn't hlp but notice that there's no ps2 forum despite how great the console is and games are still coming out for it, some pretty great like Persona 3:FES...so they PS2 games are alreayd fogotten and underrated...as long as my very favourite games...teh LucasArts point-and-click adventure games. Ah! what great games monkey island 1, day of the tentacle, loom...not underrated...but definietly forgotten. they should do remakes or sequels of those like they did of sam n max recently, tho i didn't like the format so much (downloadable playable episodes).

Medevil was a sick game , I would say the Kings Field games ( 1, 2 ) and Clock Tower.

There was a sense of being terrorfied for ONCE in Clock Tower , and Kings Field just had this insanely evil sketchy feel to it, I tried beating the first one ALL the way through a few months ago, accept at the very end its just simply impossible

Yeah, the old LucasArts and sierra point & click games are some of my favorites ever. I think they are underrated, they're some of the most entertaining games, but they're pretty much forgotten except for people who were really fans.

Only after naughty dog stopped making them. The PS1 Crash games are some of the best platformers ever made imo. Plus Crash Team Racing is still the greatest kart racer ever made by a mile.

Sniper Elite for the PS2.

Now let me say first that the game is definitely NOT for everyone, but it has to be the most realistic simulation of sniping available in the gaming world at the time of its release. And judged by that metric it is simply phenomenal. Assuming you actually use the most reaistic gameplay settings, you're forced to account for distance, elevation, windage, everything a real marksman has to consider before pulling the trigger. You're also forced to conserve ammo and stay hidden if you want to stay alive. In most levels, the tension can get so thick you could cut it with a knife.

The primary complaint I hear about the game is that it's boring. I think the problem is that people go into it expecting adrenaline rushing action like Call of Duty and are disappointed when what they get a stealth heavy game like Splinter Cell or Metal Gear Solid. By that I'm not directly comparing Sniper Elite to Splinter Cell or MGS, just using them as examples of games that include guns but aren't all about pure action and adrenaline.

I'm wondering how others who've played Sniper Elite feel about my assessment?

Seiken densetsu 3, bahamut lagoon, romancing saga 1, 2, and 3 (not to be confused with saga frontier games) are games that are highly under rated or forgotten games. I wish square enix would put these games on the ds. It bring them a lot of money more than they are making with these spin offs of final fantasy 7. I doubt it will happen because it seems square enix does not care anymore about their old games. Such treasures should not be left behind to die.

It's a long and complicated story, but this game and myself found each other when i was 8 and never again have we parted ways. I don't know why, but teh robot strategy just fascinated me. A very high quality game, gamespots review shows why it wasn't well recieve: genre.

plz pm me if you love starsiege too!

I lost my game save of this when my xbox tanked, so I didn't go too deep. The earlier parts of the game played like a competent shooter more than a sniping game, but it did have it's moments. Ahhh... It's satisfying, gory, head-popping moments... Anyway, if you are saying this game creates tension like MGS and Splinter Cell, but at 400 yards and out in the open, then yes, I agree.

Space Station Silicon Valley needs a remake.

Operation Flashpoint: Elite does things like no other console game I've ever played. If you like military shooters, AND especially if you like Sniper Elite, you must try this one. Reviews be damned.

Ogre Battle 64... it got good reviews but I don't think a lot of people ever played it. If you are a strategy or RPG fan its worth getting a N64 just to play this game in my opinion.

Probably the Colony Wars series. The first was a decent start to what could have been a great series but it sort of faded away. Shame.
